Not crazy about that tacked on plastic upper bumper piece on the new Maverick but certainly not a dealbreaker. Proper sized screen and the elimination of that useless dash cubby is appreciated. Hybrid with AWD and all the towing goodies… that’s just awesome!

The Bronco Sport upgrades are great for improved off roading, better than other manufacturers that just slap on some AT tires and badging and call it “off roadable.”

Maverick changes look great! Only thing that stands out to me is that it now starts 10k CAD more than my 22k started at before I added XLT, Lux, etc.

I agree I wished I could buy a loaf of bread for a nickel still. Unfortunately inflation is everywhere. Also some of that increase is for the larger infotainment screen and sync 4. This along with wanting hybrid AWD and 4k tow on the hybrid, shows Ford is listening to the consumer. Just they can't afford just giving it or sucking it up and passed the cost of engineering, parts and production changes on to the consumer. I do agree with though I don't like seeing the price hike.

I have a 2024 tremor lariat Maybe it was the angle but the front end doesn't look as bad as in some pictures While I don't need a bigger screen it's nice because it got rid of that useless cubby

The refresh headlights looks terrible to me unfortunately. I also am not a fan of the blue insert colours. Makes it look cheep sadly.

I would like them to put the Bronco sport badlands front grill & Sasquatch goodies into the Maverick and call it the Bronco Sport Trac like the old explorer sport Trac that I had a 2002 that I drove for 20 years with out ever having any problems.

I've been waiting to get a maverick when it came out and couldn't get one . Then I figured I would get a hybrid AWD. Found out they will make you get a bunch of packages to get the few things you want to drive the price up. Then figure the dealership will mark up at least the first few. And the reliability based on the junk f150 I bought in 2014 . I ended up just getting a cx50 so this is the second new car purchase Ford missed from me .

Just for fun optioned base plus hybrid engine, 27k USD, which is above 30% increase in price in just a couple years. At these prices, worth looking at ford ranger or other midsize trucks. Mav was great value prop at launch, but not anymore.

When the Maverick came out the hybrid was cheaper because it cost less to make. Now that demand is up they are charging more for it. So much for making a cheaper vehicle so they can offer a cheaper price to consumers.

I love my BMW Z4 but I need to sell it and get a solid offroad vehicle, I don't plan to leave the asphalt but the roads in White Plains NY in Westchester County are so bad, you need very beefy tires and skid plates. I don't know where the absurdly high taxes are going but it ain't fixing the roads. I guess giving free stuff to illegal immigrants is more important in NY than safe roadways.

I disagree. They are probably better at off roading than full size trucks. My 1500 is a boat on the trails and the long wheelbase makes approach and departure angles terrible. I bet with the right tires and maybe a few other modifications these would be much better at tight trails.

A tonneau cover doesnt remove any hauling capabilities. They can be flipped up to have an open bed in 5 seconds

@@JogBird Maverick's are a homeowners truck good for all the little stuff around the house The tonneau cover gives it a finished look and reduces the drag you get from an open pickup bed It also hides stuff when you are on a road trip and most importantly keeps the snow from filling up the bed in the winter Love my tremor perfect for what I need it for around the house

Curious why you would say that? I own a pile of Ecoboosts and even the ones that were initially a problem are now solid power plants. My 3.5 and 2.7 Ecoboosts have proven to be reliable and efficient.

@@cwqrpportable we have a line up of 1.5, 2.7 and 3.5 Ecoboost engines that are blown. The worst engines from Ford. The Coyotes are the only engine that is worthy to be reliable from Ford.

@@Thankyou_3 Not my experience at all, although I would never own a 1.5 Ecoboost. I have a fleet of F150s for our business that have the 2.7 and 3.5 EB and they’re stellar engines. The Coyote has always been my favourite but it’s not without issues as well. Your “lineup” story sounds suspect…..

I don't see the point of the maverick. It's useless for any real truck needs. You can barely fit 4 bags of mulch in that toy bed. And even 4k is ridiculous for towing capacity.

Spoken like someone who has never owned and actually used a pickup truck of any size for any work. The Maverick will carry 8 ft long 2x4s, 4x4s, plywood and sheetrock just as well as a truck with a 5 ft. or 6 ft. bed. Close the tailgate for the 8 ft lumber and tie it down. For plywood or sheetrock, carry the items with the tailgate up or down, use some tie-downs to strap it down and off you go. It'll carry bags of concrete, sand, gravel, bark-dust, rocks, blocks, bricks, pavers, manure and fertilizers as well as any pickup truck. Payload on the Maverick is as good as the midsized pickups. No one travels cross country with a truck bed full of lumber. Material doesn't only need to fit inside of a bed with a closed tailgate.

@@bikes7777 it may not natively be able to carry a full yard of mulch, but will tow a small trailer with a full yard of mulch back to the homestead. We have a full sized Pickup to be able to tow our travel trailer and handle family duties plus other errands, but can see a good case made for the Maverick. All about options.
