In this Video I get my first hands on with the new GoPro Wi-Fi BacPac & Remont. I show how to connected one camera and get all the functionality of the camera on the remote as well as how to connect two or more camera. This allows for you to start and stop all of them at the same time with just one button.

Yes the waterproof door is identical. However the non waterproof one is slightly different. The side vent go all the way up and there is no button on it to get to the button you have to click it thro the vent.

I would have a look through the manual that came with your wi-fi BacPac + Remote. You probably have to put the remote in to connect mode or something.

It comes with a new back door for the standard hosing. This will make it fit.

The BacPac have it own wifi network. I will work anywhere as long as the BacPac is in range of the remote. You do not need to be anywhere near a computer or wifi network.

The GoPro Hero is water proof to 60m when using the waterproof backdoor (that is the one that came installed the one with no vents in it) you will have also gotten a non waterproof backdoor that is the one with the cut outs in it.

Yes the remote make it own WiFi network. so it will work anywhere. Don't know if the app will use WiFi or Bluetooth the BacPac has both.

No you do not need a Wi-Fi network for the BacPac to work. All that the name Wi-Fi BacPac means is that that is the wireless technology that is being used for communication.

Yes the remote is waterproof but only to 10’(3m) not 197’(60m) like the camera

nice review, does the remote work in places where the is no wifi connection? and when the GoPro app finally comes out would it connect to your phone with bluetooth?

Sadly no it does not. All that the on board battery does is stop the Wi-Fi BacPac from draining the GoPros battery. So unlike the LCD screen adding the BacPac will not affect the battery life of the GoPro.

Have you been able to get Remote One Button feature to work? I use the One Button feature on the camera itself to record a "fish on" while kayak fishing and can't seem to get the One Button to work via the remote. There is a setting I have found while going through the remote setup screen, but when I select it I just get a blink and no indication of any change. Then when I turn in the remote, it indeed turns on the camera, but does nothing. I still have to hit the remote shutter button.

hi Kyle, i've a question for You. i've a possibility to buy hero2 with wifi combokit quite cheap in my country (350PLN instead 500PLN, but with no warranty for wifi). it will be my first gopro, so i just want to learn how to use it, how to mount it properly, how to take proper shots etc.. i want to mount it on my helmets (front mount) and on my skiboot. What do You think, better to buy the hero2 with or without wifi? I don't know if i be using it, and i don't want to spend too much money..

i updated all the softwares and it said they where connected but when i turn the remote on after turning the bacpac on the remote and bacpac never connect!!!!.... any ideas??
