Yes, I agree, it would have been good to see that. I didn’t have an HRV tracker unfortunately.

Now we know why a purring cat laying on your chest is so relaxing! This seems like a great device I'd love to try. And it's probably more reliable and portable than hugging my independently minded cat!

👌👍🤣 Maybe so! Thanks for watching. There’s a HEALTHHACKERS discount on the new Sensate Pebble if you wanted to try one. Details under the video.

@@HealthHackers thanks for the heads up on the discount. If I order one and find it useful I'll report back. I've got enough health issues to adequately put the Sensate through it's paces! If it works on me, it will work on pretty much anyone. You've got a new sub in me 😊

Aww thank you for subscribing! I’m starting work on a new video about another type of pebble too. This one is a sleep device. It influences brainwaves apparently. Video coming in a few weeks once I’ve tested it fully👍

I agree that the lanyard on my early one is poor. In addition I have to hold the thing against my chest to get the most effect. I would also like longer battery life and some sort of stress monitoring from the device itself, rather than being asked to estimate my stress levels in the app. These criticisms aside I experienced immediate positive response once I began to use the thing, and the longer term results from - so far - 2 months of daily use have made an appreciable difference to my `base stress level`. I notice a decreased response to the little annoyances of daily life. Im not exactly Captain stress-boots at the worst of times ! I just find things seem- calmer.

agpmjm thanks for sharing! Sounds like it’s been fairly useful for you 👍 I’d be keen to see what the clip-on smaller sized version will look like.

10 years for the benefits of meditation is the biggest outing of false information I’ve ever heard. However, I do use the Sesnsate 2 every single morning and like the calming aspect to it… the evidence isn’t strong enough for me to advise to others on its benefits.

Interesting to know if there are any unwanted EMF effects from using this device? I note it's connected to your phone - I'm assuming this will be via Bluetooth or WiFi and then requires headphones to listen to tracks and a placing of a device so close to your body? If you're a Biohacker surely you'd also be interested to know the effects of this.
@HealthHackers4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Monica. I’m not sure I would call myself a biohacker 🤷♀️ 😊 but I do have an interest in the EMF potential of devices I review, as you can see in some of my other videos (did you see the Zeez Pebble?). In terms of Sensate, their Indiegogo campaign says it can be used in Airplane mode, and: “The Bluetooth Low Energy radio receiver in your Sensate emits much less energy than your mobile phone. Sensate has been tested against the CE directive and conforms to safe standards. Sensate uses Bluetooth Low Energy, which uses a very small part of the spectrum at extremely low energy to transmit its signals. It only transmits for a small percentage of the time (i.e. there is no constant signal) and your Sensate has been designed to keep transmissions to a minimum.” More here: www.indiegogo.com/projects/sensate-calm-nerves-and-soothe-anxiety/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIprbBvNqp6gIVXx-tBh2YpwdZEAAYASACEgILq_D_BwE#/faq. Hope this helps!

How DARE you make such a simplistic statement about HRV and lifespan? Unethical on SO many levels. Think of the nocebo effect alone from making this overly simplistic statement. By the way, I own a Sensate Pebble and love it- but I am appalled by the way you are talking about this device.

Hi Lynn, Which statement? Made by whom?
@lynnmckenna99345 ай бұрын
Read your own video transcript- you will find the simplistic claims being made starting at 3:41. Made by the inventor of Sensate. Again, I like the product, but this way of talking about it is NOT helpful.
