I wish it was that simple. I didn’t find a sock in mine and i took out the drain hose and ran water through it. It could be the control board. I ran the test on the lid already. It locks, it works.

Quick tip use a wet vac attach it to the drain line and suck the water out. No need to move it easier on the back.

This has happened with my grandma's Maytag washer a few times where the drain pump wasn't working correctly or draining because apparently there was a bunch of gunk stuck inside so we took it apart and then got out wet vac and started draining everything and then it was ok

Looks like a GE washer. I love those because it will tell on the resident what they did wrong. & you need to put into tech mode to read the error code and then after fixing the error. You need to reset the code in order for it to work.

People use laundry bags for socks and little items. Once the load is done, grab the little bag with everything inside and hang to dry. Boom 💥 No more list socks. Plus, do not over load drum.
