I have been watching you stitch on Lost No More for so long and I love it each time you show it. I'm so happy for you that you've completed it, and I hope we'll still get to see it on the board behind you😊. It is stunning! Your Sunnyside is beautiful as well, so much nicer than the cover photo, I think. I always enjoy seeing what you've been stitching on! Glad you enjoyed your retreat! I'm just finishing up the series of monthly quakers from By the Heart, and I've so enjoyed stitching on them this year. Just 2 more to go, and the series will be done😊. Happy stitching!

Hello Brenda... Congratulations on your remarkable work. I am a Quebec-born translator living in France since 1996 and my translation of "Au fil des nichoirs" would be "From birdhouse to birdhouse" or "From one birdhouse to another". I've been addicted to Flosstube since last January and I want to thank you for showing us that it is OK to work on several projects at a time. I had always felt somewhat guilty about that. And also thank you for the very clear advice and tips about flosses and fabrics. Wish you lots of fun at the next retreat. 😀

I love all your work! So beautiful! I don’t know how you get so much done in 2 weeks and I think you also have a job. The first video of yours I watched was about your stitch stands and that was very helpful. I’m looking for a video on how to attach my fabric on scroll rods. I’ll peruse your videos for that. I was lucky to find 2 rod kits at a thrift store for 3$ apiece, smaller sizes. Just started cross stitching in December ‘22. Thank you.

Yikes! I had to pause the video and a the Madame La Fee pattern to my 123 Wishlist. I LOVE the one you started plus, while on the website, I found some new ones that needed added to my list. I’ve finished one…amazing…and have a couple more kitted up. I also ALMOST had to jump up and start the 4 Seasons kit because I have that. It’s hours away from being organized enough to start, though. Pam. PS….on the 123 website they give the English translation of the pattern title.

Lost No More is absolutely gorgeous. And you're getting SO close on American Sampler. Lots of progress on big, long term projects. I just started the OctToOctSAL Birdhouses this weekend! I'm also going to try to stitch them in 'month' sequence, but I started on the right upper corner and only worked 'back' to October. I'm going to try to put in that top line over the next couple of months to be able to make it to the left corner by January when I need it!

Thank You Connie! I believe you are seeing the piece of felt I have under the clip on the q-snap. As my q-snaps get more stretched out and worn, I put a piece of felt under the clip to make them tight again. Sometimes I use cream colored warm and natural batting, and sometimes I use some dark gray felt I have :)

Question: what needles do you use with your Sulky Threads? I have to use a 24 size needle to be able to thread it and on 36 or 40 count linen I use a 28 size needle. Groetjes, Evelien

Thank You Evelien!! Yes, that is a challenge. I have been using a 26, but it is hard to thread. Normally I would use a 28 for sure.

@@Handworkmaniac Thank you I'll have to try a 26 size again. Perhaps another brand will make it easier.

You could even try a 24 and see if you like that better :)

Hello friend! So, of course, Pam had to find the magazine for American Sampler by Sandy Orton...and that issue was on top of the stack! Karma? Anyway, what threads are you using? Gosh, it's absolutely gorgeous 🥰

Brenda, I purchased a couple of nice looms. These have the plastic around the bars. Don't know how to attach my Aida .cloth on them. Please help.😢

Hello!! It sounds like you may be talking about a q-snap frame? I show how to load your fabric into one in Video #32. Aida is a little stiffer so you will need to push harder to get the clips over the fabric, especially when the clips are new and tight :)

Hi Brenda! I began watching your videos about 2 weeks ago and it has lit quite a fire! I am working my way through them and learning 'the new cross stitch' as it is today! You are very clear with your how-to's and it is appreciated! I am wondering if one of your previous videos talks about the fabric/the # of threads/full or half cross. We are in Arizona for a family reunion next week and I think I will make it to the Attic... I have enough leaflets, Aida and threads from the 80's and 90's to start a store, before quilting, wool appliqué, rug hooking etc flowed through - lots of kits I bought, but was too distracted! I would like to pick up some fabrics though as where I live is about 2,000 miles from nearest stitch shop. I'm twitching to try1 strand threat, full cross. I'm thinking 25 count even weave or linen? Love your Lost No More and the full back stitching charts... my husband is despairing! Thanks for the hours of pleasure!

Hi Dawn!! Ohhhh, I bet your visit to the attic was amazing! I have never made it there, but would love to some day. If I am stitching with 1 strand I really like 40 ct linen (20 ct aida) and 46 ct linen (22 ct aida). On linen I stitch with 1 strand of floss over linen threads. And I also stitch with 1 strand of floss on 25 ct evenweave and 28 ct linen, when I am using 1 strand of floss over 1 fabric thread. A lot of people like using 1 strand of floss on 36 ct linen (18 ct aida), but I like the coverage better with 2 strands of floss on 36 ct :) I hope that helps!! It really is just personal preference :)

@@Handworkmaniac- sadly it ended up that our hotel was nearly an hour away.... my sister in law looked up the info online, but somehow got her day skewed around and she remembered it as open Saturday and Sunday - we got the Sunday to find it was Friday and Saturday. Had to swallow hard - I wasn't actually looking for anything, but I wanted to see the different fabrics for my own information, rather than buying sight unseen. I promised myself I have to finish one of my elderly starts before I can begin a full coverage piece... I'm wondering if you have sown any of Sue Coleman's Designs - very northern - I'm closest to finishing the Raven, so giving him my all! Came home from 105* in Phoenix to snow on the ground and way below zero... it is winter in the Yukon. Soon, lots of time to stitch! Thanks so much for your information on the fabrics!
