This may actually be funnier than the sketch in the video. My dad used to fix things that exact same way. He made the hinges for our barn's doors out of leather from old belts! A fat piece of rope with a knot was passed through a large keyhole shaped hole to hold them shut. I miss my dad. Thanks Red!
