Our friend had an Arab mare that she tried to breed but was told by several vets after bloodwork and palpation that the mare was not pregnant. She showed no physical signs of pregnancy. One morning when she went to the sable, there was a tiny colt curled up on his mother's hay.

The one with the markings that look like a bonnet are called Medicine Hat horse and they are really really really rare

They used to be practical GODS to the ancient Indian-Americans. They were cherished so much that you had to have people GUARDING THEM so they didn’t get stolen. The ‘medicine hat’ name comes from the old myth that they gave special healing properties. I read this from another video I watched a while back, so don’t take my word for it here

They are so cool! I want one when I am older right now I am just trying to have my mom and dad think I am responsible enough to own a horse. (I mean I wake up at six in the morning and take care of my two rabbits and five dogs I know lot and they are easier then what I expect taking care of a horse would be like but I think I could do it and be great at it)

Our stables bought a new pony, who's a mare, about one year ago for riding. No one knew she was pregnant. A few weeks ago on thursday she was in a jumping lesson. They had started putting her in for more lessons 'cos she was getting a bit fat. Saturday morning there were 2 ponies in her stall😂 the foal is so cute and all the kids are mega excited, she's a great mom💖

I take lessons and the trainer breeds gaited horses one day we were out on a trail ride just doing some cantering and making our way out to the other half of her herd in the back pasture. We get there and we see a little foal out in the pasture. She was so small! We went back and her husband drove out in the truck and got the foal back and she went back out and lead the mom back on her horse. But that mare wasn't supposed to have her foal till later in the year and here is this little cream out in the pasture. She is adorable and when I went for my lesson she was still so small and racing around a pen with another foal. But in total, they have 8 foals now and they are so cute!

This makes me miss the first day I met my horse. I went to a horse rescue just looking for a rideable horse that I could probably put anyone in my family on but there was a beautiful 2 day old colt that I fell in love with immediately. They wouldn't adopt out any horses until they could pick up all their feet and stand for the farrier and for the really young horses they had to be able to survive away from their mom. I am so grateful I was the first person to show interest in him because when he was adoptable they got phone call after phone call from people intrested. I just had to show them that I was capable of handling an untrained young horse and I passed their test. He is now almost 2 1/2 years old and the love if my life. He was only $250 and turned out very athletic and by far the easiest horse I've ever trained. I am not expecting him to ever compete in any extensive competitions and maybe do some shows for fun. I am the first person in my immediate family to work with horses and I've been doing it since I was 13, this colt was the best first horse I could have ever asked for

my hostfamily ( exchange year) breeds horses, that means 1 or 2 foals every year. we used the same mares every other year or so. and you could tell which foal came out of wich mare only by personallity. our oldest mare (13) she always had more "shy" babies but put a halter on them and you would think they had done that for years.... wheres the one other horse. SUPER social babies, dumb as a rock with a halter on. and i can saftly say: same outcome each time.

I have a soft spot with one of the horses where I go to college (do you have any tips in getting closer to the horse and being more confident). They have professionals there but they aren’t exactly that helpful with it and it’s hard to just have one opinion on the matter or one technique and try and deal with it (I’m a very anxious person, that’s why I struggle with confidence along with other things). We also have a Clydesdale at my college and he is the easiest one to lead and he’s the youngest (but he can be a little poop at times, like a teenager).
