Hang Gliding: A-I-R ATOS road trip - Part 1

I treated myself to a new wing and with great support from Marek in finalising the spec, I placed an order for a new VR with Avain Hang Gliding. Alan Hughes had also dipped into his cash pot and ordered a VQ Race. As the countdown for completion neared, we decided to drive over and pick them up: one day to drive to the Alps, one day to collect, one day to fly and one day to drive back home........
Having had a rig, de-rig demo from Adam at A-I-R, we and three others where driven up the hill, behind the factory, for a test flight. Felix "mother hen'd" us through preflight and site briefing, many thanks Felix and the all the A-I-R team.
It was late, after 6:30pm when we took off for an extended 1,000ft top to bottom but it was enough to keep Alan and I grinning, from landing to and through the evenings weissbiers.
Tomorrow would see us riding the cablecar to the Tegelberg take off........... road trip - part 2!
