I just want to thank you for all your videos. I am a new bird owner and made many mistakes the last few weeks, I thought one of my budgie were going to hate me for life. I had them eating from my hand and step ups, but learned it was out of force and not choice. Over all the material I've read and watched, your videos have help me (not train the birds), but train myself instead. Since then I started from scratch and used target/click training, paying attention, and most of all, patience. Now I feel like I am really earning their trust and love through mutual training and understanding. Thank you. P.s. the female that i thought i lost has a bad habit of doing the "angry dolphin" noise and snipping at the male but he keeps coming back to her, even after she forces him away from food. I thought at first this was really bad at first and stressed me out but slowly learning this just mild dominance/pecking order, i just dont know when its becoming too much aggression or if separation is needed (separation is unacceptable to them). Any advice or suggested video is greatly appreciated.

I love your training videos and have used them as guides many times over. What about a video on the philosophy behind the training, why you train the way you do, your method vs other methods, pros/cons, etc.?

Gracias por volver a grabar entrenamientos para nuestras aves! Eres maravillosa! ¿Podrías enseñarnos el entrenamiento de que sacudan su cabeza? Eso que la sacuden como diciendo que no.

My bird only does kisses and lays down in my hand. After hours and hours of trying to teach him to fetch or play basketball he just doesn’t get it. Any advice??

She'll probably tell you to start with target training :)
@emmalynncraft96364 жыл бұрын
Try shorter training increments (hopefully you aren’t going hours at a time lol) and use special treats so they are more exited to train. Rather than millet use their favorite fruit or veg. (I don’t have a bird but I’m preparing to get one. This comes up in a lot of videos and articles I read on training)

How do you give them the treat? Are you just holding a bit of a branch of millet or a seed or something?

Hello, I want to ask: do you cover your cages for night? And if you cover, are they afraid of this? Bcs, I want to cover my canary, bcs in my country day is very long, about 17-18 hours in summer. But I am afraid, if he will be scary and if I lose his little trust? I read in russian websites, that in summer the daylight must be 13-14 hours and it isn’t normal 16-17. And it must be 10 hours during moulting and my canary is moulting now. What do I do? I am afraid that I will lose his trust and he is afraid of covering and that he will moult too long

Hey can someone help!! So I had my budgie for almost 5 months. And I’ve always seen his cere as blue, but just today it is tan/red. Is this normal??!! It looks like a mix of blue and brown. I am not sure if it’s a girl or boy now. The place I got it from told me it’s probably a boy, but it might not. If anyone knows it would be a great help!!!
@whitebone9484 жыл бұрын
If it was originally a light white/blue then went brown, "she" is growing into a grown lady and she is starting to get hormones developing in her body. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong.

Sorry for replying so late! That’s good to know! Although when I meant she/he is 5 months, I meant I had her/him for 5 months. So right now he/she is about 8 months. So it’s probably a girl. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it!!!

@@asmadahbour3626 yes, your budgie is either a female, or is sick.

I've had success teaching the trick on my hands instead of a perch. Or if you bird likes climbing in general, I also taught my girl to climb onto a hanging leather cord with knots tied into it.

@solsties_4 жыл бұрын
delower hossian the tail will grow! your budgie must’ve gotten really scared and dropped its tail feathers from instinct- it happens. was your sister holding it as in cupping between hands/fingers or was your budgie simply perching on her?

Hey!! I am looking for a bird to be my best friend! I am only getting one and I thought I wanted a parakeet but I’ve seen many videos of people saying they’re better off with another bird and they’re not as affectionate compared to cockatiels. Is that true? What should I do?
@Kay-oc3cz4 жыл бұрын
Parakeets, or otherwise none as budgies can be just as affectionate as any other bird, they just prefer to be with other birds.
@incanusolorin26074 жыл бұрын
All birds should be with other birds of the same species. They are very social creatures and we cannot provide the all the social interaction they need.
