Love your hang with me videos and your stories about your cats. We had a cat much like Grumpy. We had to keep her in an enclosed dog pen and wear leather work gloves when we held her as she would scratch the bejeezus out of us. Once she started letting us pick her up, we would sit in the recliner with her, holding her with one leather glove covered hand and just pet her for an hour at a time. It took several months until one day she was on my lap being petted and just kind of melted and relaxed. From that point on she was a lap cat, she would even push our other cat off our lap if she wanted to lay down. She was the sweetest cat ever. We lost her three years ago and still miss her to this day.

Teresa one of the things I love about you is that you are a low maintenance designer and stitcher. You tell us to just do what we want as it is our piece of stitching.lol I usually use floss from my stash..mostly Colour and Cotton. I just look at the color picture of the design and choose colors that look close to those pictured. It is very freeing.

I've rescued many and volunteered at a shelter. My last foster was a total fail that left me with 3 bottle fed kittens. They're now 3 yrs. old and still with me. LOL

Bottle fed kittens are the best kind. they end up being like your babies (you really develop a strong bond with them). My Dottie is my bottle-fed kitten. I got her when she weighed 6 ounces. She's not very social, but I am her mom. :) - T

Did away we fly, and had enough leftover for not forgotten farm witch. Super generous cut made that possible. Actually looked into flights to Missouri to do the Galleria show - I would absolutely love helping out ... but sadly, I don't think it's in the cards this year given my work schedule, ding dang it! I would be an excellent shop assistant!! Oh well. Come to California, will ya?? Oh, and "Do the worst first" are words to live by, for me! Probably need to stitch them on a sampler!

Thanks for letting me hang with you. I don't know any stitchers except on flosstube and instagram. So I can't wait to see the posts by my favorite cross stitchers of which you are one! Do you think people are buying multiples of Easterparade as an investment? Glad so many are getting a win from this but I am looking for other BBD patterns. Hope they will release Quaker garden, Union Forever or the booklet Honeysuckle Manor. I just started their Garden series as one piece. It is fun. I have their Christmas Garden Sampler started last year. I am dipping my toe into silks with Abigail Adams for which I have just started collecting the silks. I used to make pies regularly. But when Crisco changed, I have had trouble getting my crust right. Did you notice the change? My favorite costume was the scary black cat. Back in the 60s. I wore it for months. Ha Ha. I need to stitch that scary cat piece just for memories sake. Thanks for sharing.

I have only had one or two people buy two Easter Parade charts, and I think they're double ordering, so they can give one to a friend. I didn't think to put a limit on them. I don't know about those other three patterns -- you can always e-mail Blackbird to encourage them to re-release certain ones. I am hoping they re-release a lot of patterns, too. I use butter for my pie crusts -- used Crisco a LONG time ago, then margarine, and now butter. But I used to use Crisco to make buttermilk frosting, and when they changed it, it didn't work well anymore.:) - T

Those stinky Halloween masks with the teeny tiny eyeholes that we all tried so hard to see out of. Lol! I remember taking a digger over a sprinkler head face first because of those darn eyeholes! It is packing tape -- sometimes a cat will knock a glass over, and I've found that I can put a glass inside the tape roll to make it much harder to knock over. :) - T

I wanted to share a learning moment that happened this week. I was in Putnam, CT this week and went into an antique store. I found a lovely partial sampler with my daughter’s name on it so I had to buy it right? The price was low and I thought wow I hit the lottery. I bought it and decided to launder it gently due to the condition of it. Guess what it was a recent machine make complete with the stabilizer (partially) on the back. It was sold as an antique. I called and let them know my displeasure and feeling of being cheated. I will iron it and reframe it. Lesson sadly learned. On the other hand a week ago I bought a quilt that I posted on Housewife’s site. It is a handmade and appliquéd king size quilt or 16.

I really like the ball point needles. My friend gave me a couple of them in May. I was sold on them. And I couldn't find them anywhere. So glad Sullivan is selling them now. I just came across a thread conversion I got from you when you had your store. It is Prairie Schooler measure of a year. I was so thrilled it was overdyeds. Because I am one of those folks that never change colors. But I belonged the Victoria motto threads for over a year. So I have alot. I have done a few changes. Dont mind stitch with me. I dont watch too many of them. You are easy to listen too.

Since I started stitching in high school, I have always been limited and not always able to use the called for colors. Substitution for colors I liked or what I had in my stash has been the norm for me. Ruby is lovely. My 70 pound chocolate lab would sit in my lap while I stitched if I let him.
