Nice job Tim! I did the same paint scheme and engine on the ESM 85" Corsair in 2014. Very cool finished project. Great sounding radial as well. My project took about one year to complete, but was worth the effort. I sold mine to help pay for a new home, but want to do one more Corsair one day. Nothing beats the look of the F4U on final with gear down and full flaps! Enjoy your new toy, it tuned out well. What's next?

I like how the craft pitched downward during takeoff due to all of that thrust and the drag of the main gear. I wonder if the pilot added a bit of down elevator at that point, or if the pitch settled out by itself?
@TinkerManRC8 жыл бұрын
It was because of the thick grass on that side of the runway yes added a little up elevator ..

Nice plane. How many planes to you own and how do you store them? Do you take the wings off if you can to save space? I know you like to build planes have you done a shop or bench tour video to see your work space, tools and supplies you use to build. Your favorite glues you use too. Thanks.

Hi Tim, what's your opinion about this engine ? I mean, many people have problems with the FG line of Saito, they say the engine is very temperamental specially the smalls like the Fg21, FG14. Thank you, regards from Brazil.

Yes it can be temperamental from time to time just have to keep a watch on how it runs all the time, thanks for commenting ..Tim

@TinkerManRC8 жыл бұрын
Just had a valve issue prop is 22 X 12 and RPM was in flight Thanks Tim
@CNSFX7 жыл бұрын
Your RA mod 84 was taching 7000rpm you said. I have one too and my telemetry read 7400 in flight with a Xoar 24x14 prop. Which prop are you using now? I'm switching to a three blade 24in. Solo next, just curious what your running and how you like it now. Also, which oil and fuel are you using and the ratio? I'm using 92 non-E gas and Klotz oil at 15:1 with great results so far. Thanks, happy landings!

Ray is not going to be happy with that motor unloading to 7000 rpm in the air :) He likes 5800 on the ground and 6300 in the air. On my 31lbs Zero with the FG 84 we don't see any performance difference after 6300 in the air. Maybe your 39 lbs beast needs the extra rpm.
