That is very nice build sir. I am very impressed that you are using a scale biela prop. I love seeing that on warbirds. I have never figured out why someone would put in all the hours and detail to build a beautiful scale plane like that then not put a scale prop on it. Can not wait to see your maiden flight video with it. Thank you for bringing this to us and thank you for your direct to the point type build videos. Very good job with that as well.

Using the Robart electric retracts, did you only use the receiver 2s battery to power the retracts or did you use a 9V voltage regulator and a 3s Lipo as an aux battery supply in addition?
@TinkerManRC5 жыл бұрын
I used the receiver to power the retracts ..Thanks for commenting ..Tim

Did you drill the holes in the prop drive washer and did you tap them?
@TinkerManRC8 жыл бұрын
The Holes were drilled out by Ray English, I sent the motor to him for the Intake mod and had him drill it out to a DA 100.. Thanks Tim
@vasilyzaitsev52088 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tim! I will be doing the same installation for the prop washer bolts so will get a drill jig, drill undersized holes and tap. Would you be kind enough to let me know how deep the holes are that were drilled into the prop hub? I would send to Ray English but with the cdn dollar exchange and postage to get it to him Id go broke! Best regards and keep up the great work and videos. Your craftsmanship is impeccable.

Ok wil do the holes are about a 1/2 deep.

Wow man! Amazing build! This is my dream build one day. Can you get this from Hangar 9 unfinished so you don't have to basically tear down the entire plane. Do you think the same results could be achieved from the Top Flite 60CC pre cut kit?
@TinkerManRC8 жыл бұрын
The Hangar 9 Corsair does not come unfinished, you have to remove the covering, same thing with the Top Flite Corsair. Yes you can get the same results with top Flite, Thanks for the cool comment..TIm

Hi Tim. I’m thinking of building this plane as well. Is the keleo motor box required to fit the engine with in the cowl or is it required more so for the exhaust ring? I’m not planning to use the exhaust ring but I don’t want to cut the cowl. Suggestions?
@TinkerManRC7 жыл бұрын
The Keleo motor box makes it easer to install the Satio engine and set prop clearance to cowling. You can still use the stock firewall with your installation. If you dont use the exhaust ring it will be a little easer to install engine. Good luck and hope this helps..Tim

Hey Tim Which gear door sequencer do you recommend ? Not sure if I can get the front doors to work mechanically via gear so I’m looking into sequencer and servos. Also how did you add you ballast weight ? Lead boxes or lead shot with epoxy? Which do you prefer? Also I have seen other guys complain about losing the sliding canopy durring flight has that been an issue for you if so what are your tips? Thanks for your input
@TinkerManRC7 жыл бұрын
I used the Jet-Tronics gear door sequencer and had servos in all the doors. Yes, had to add some ballast weight to the front of the nose cowl, used small lead shot with epoxy, poured it into the forward cowling reset ring pocket in front. Prefer the lead shot if you can use it. I have not had any issues with the canopy, just make sure its secured before you take off. Good luck with everything. Tim

hey there TinkerMan. I have just purchased a T-28 nitro plane with an OS-.46 LA engine. some of the monokote has bubbles. how can this be fixed? I also have a cessna 182 built back in the late 80's and it has a fox motor. the motor doesnt say what size it is but it looks to be the same as the .49. how will i be able to find out what size this motor is? do they still make parts for this engine?
@TinkerManRC8 жыл бұрын
Hi Aaren You can use a heat gun or covering iron to get the bobbles out of the monokote. Just be careful and don't over heat the covering. I'm not sure on the Fox motor. I would change it out if you can. Thanks for commenting ..Tim Hope this helps.
