I am so impressed by your talking skills. There are no "umms" and "ahhhs" in your presentation. Your brain works so clearly. And you talk faster than I can process. My brain works about 10 times slower. You must have ideas zooming around constantly in your head. Wow.

I spend hundreds of dollars every year on annuals to fill all my pots and I've never paid that close attention to the different varieties within the plants - like petunias. I have so many 'ah-ah' and "ohhhhh' moments while watching your videos. Thank you so much for doing this. I thank you. My pots thank you. Also - I very much appreciate the shoutout to the midwest. We get a bad wrap sometimes of being very boring!!

My Mother's Day tradition is always a garden center visit as well. There is one large garden center here that has a Mother's Day celebration with free food and entertainment. I usually park the kids at the food/entertainment area and go off with my mom to shop. We've been going for about 10 years. I can't imagine Mother's Day any other way now.

I live north of Salt Lake City. My bed is on the south side of the house in front of the bay window. I rent, and last fall I dug up the totally neglected bed, added amended soil, replanted all the buried tulip bulbs I discovered, and added 4 varieties of daffodils as well as 3 flowering bushes just in front of the window. The bulbs were beautiful this spring❤️. What annuals do you recommend I fill in now?

Complete dense shade for my planters. I wish that I had more sun, but one works with the light available. I use houseplants as well as impatiens (love white impatiens, adds bright pop to dark shade) and coleus for color. Snake plant as a spike interest, Diffenbachia with its green and white striping, and chartreuse yellowish trailing philodendron.

Yea, I tried the vine with my petunias last year. Most of the vines died, but a couple did survive to give a nice looking window box. I had a deep purple petunia in the window boxes and it really stood out. Even my neighbors complemented on nice it looked. I am trying a few new things this year with the wave petunias in hanging baskets.
