Great shot of the woodpeckers. I couldnt see them from where I was standing but they were loud.

Seeing Dave sing and dance will be a highlight of Summer 2024 for me, too! I was anticipating your woodpecker footage, and I was right about the great shots you would get! Glad we got to hang out. The meet up was awesome! Thanks for the shout-out. Peace & Prayers.

You added a great sense humor to this video. Misidentified mushrooms and hard shelled frogs and bigfoot. I missed all that stuff but its nice to see it in this video. All of these videos are very different and makes it seem like 20 different hikes in the same park. As always Cliiff thanks for taking us on this adventure.

Great closeups of the Pileated Woodpeckers! Ghost Pipes, Hard Shelled Frogs, Bigfoot, you never know who or what you will find when a bunch of KZbinrs get together! I laughed so many different times during this video, thanks for sharing your sense of humor along with everything else that you do Wandering Woodsman. Enjoy your summer my friend, see you on the next one, and keep wandering...

That was fantastic! I was right there with you. I was at that park years ago and all I remember is a very small campground with no hookups and the mill. I don't remember the tavern or bridge or lake for that matter. I will have to look through my picture cds. Those clouds above the lake were awesome. And you know if you put on those old clothes you go back in time, lol. Anyway, loved this and be safe.❤❤❤❤

Nice to see those Ghost Pipes. I use them as an indicator for looking for Lobster Mushrooms (Hypomyces lactiflourum) later in the season. The Ghost Pipes parasitize Russula mushrooms, which are in a relationship with the trees. The Ghost Pipes can live off a variety of Russulas, but the Short-stemmed Russula (R. brevipes) is one of their more common hosts -- and that's the same host for the Lobsters. So there's a lot going on underground there, lol. Great sighting and filming of the nesting Pileated Woodpeckers! Happy hiking!

I had a buddy in 95' and his name was William and when he would introduce himself he would say hi my name is William, Bill for short. So that was the name we always called him, William Bill for short. And he also went by the name William sometimes Bill lol

Not sure how i know this, probably TikTok, but the William-Will-Bill and also Richard-Rick-Dick nicknaming is a British rhyming slang thing... Thats enough to jump down the rabbit hole if you dare!
