im glad you picked a title that lead me to believe you were the one who was creating 'a perfect attack', it kept me watching even though you slowly lost the advantage in the game. thanks for the content, keep it up!

Thank you for posting this Stjepan. We learn at most from our lost games - very good content for analysis - King's Indian Attack has many surprises in their sleeve! Looks like exchanging fiancetto bishop was very risky. Learned a lot from this game. Really like your passion and patience with chess development and your humility in this respect. For sure Chess on this level teaches us humility!

I don't watch his videos often enough to talk about comments on other games, but in this game specifically it is perfectly valid to point out when he says there is zero compensation for the exchange, while staring at the dark square weaknesses around the king and the unopposed dark square bishop. Even if the computer said it was winning for black, it would be more than enough compensation for an interesting, practical, human, game. In so many openings involving g6 Bg7 0-0, sacking an exchange for the dark squared bishop is a well known theme. He would have surely recognized the threat of giving up his DSB if some exchange sacrifice possibility had arrived via Benoni, because it is well known that the bishop on g7 is worth more than a rook. But because this did not fall into one of the cookie cutter exchange sacrifices, he did not even consider the ramifications and became entranced by the possibility of winning material. If the point of his channel is to improve, he should welcome helpful comments.

@@beventas98 I think you made the point better than I did. My comment wasn't intended to be patronizing, just surprised at how he evaluated it as an exchange for no comp.

21:20 After ... Ng8 2. Ng5 Kh6 3. Qe3 Nxf6 4. exf6 ... is much clearer, simply maintaining the pin against the king, mate in 3. Very glad you miscalculated a different line to mate 😅

Heyy Stjepan, I prefer your Training Games over your Road to GM Analysis videos, because we can see your live reaction and thought process! But both types if videos are very enjoyable to watch. :)

How does c3 prevent development of the c8 bishop if c3 occupies a dark square?

Hey Stjepan. Love the channel. Thanks for the videos. If I can offer some feedback, the audio on this video was a little rough. It sounded like you were bumping into your microphone a lot. Just letting you know.

Maybe you haven't played against enough attacking players. As soon as you played Nxe1 my first thought was how to prevent mate on g7.

I was surprised how happy you were when he sacced that exchange, since I and I bet even a lot of GM's would take white there in a heartbeat. Stjepan, I think this might be a symptom of you thinking that the game of chess is something to be "solved", or that moves are correct and incorrect. Your opponent had all the practical chances to mate you in this game. Even if you hadn't blundered you would have still been under tremendous pressure to make the exact right moves, and on low time, no less. A dark-squared bishop with no counterpart and those weak dark squares around the king. It was a matter of time.

well i definitely don't. if i could win every game by getting good positions and just needing to defend accurately that's a win in my book. 1 i get a good position, and 2 i get more practice at defending uncomfortable positions and not crumbling.
