Hi Pawpaw, this brought back memories of my Mom canning Bread and Butter Pickles. She would make them in the microwave. She also made Pear Honey, Blackberry Jam, and Apple Jelly in the microwave. I would give anything for a taste of her pickles. You and Jami need to get together on pickles. She canned dill pickles and bread and butter pickles. Hey pawpaw, here’s a small tip. You don’t have to cut off both ends. I only cut one off and then slice down to the other end and stop and throw that one away.

Back when I was able I canned bread n butter pickles, tomatoes, green beans, I had a really big garden back then. Alot of earlier morning canning when it was cooler. Was alot of work but was worth it.

Thank you paw paw. This brings back so many memories of visiting my auntie when I was younger. She always had loads of homemade pickles laid out for us to help ourselves. She died a few years ago in her 80s and no other family member makes pickles. I miss her so much ❤️

❤❤ I am the only one that likes Bread and butter pickles so I waterbath for 10 minutes. I usually refrigerate 1 jar and make the others shelf stable. They aren’t as crisp but still delicious. I know many will appreciate this video!

Loved them alot then we'd put hard boiled eggs in to pickle. I think we had homemade pickles too!!! Was fun watching you. Enjoy your pickles.

Hi Pawpaw, thank you for sharing your recipe. The turmeric with the black pepper corns is a natural anti inflammatory. It should help with your knees. I make my own season salt and I always add turmeric and pepper to help reduce my inflammation. My cucumber plants are only 2” tall so it’ll be a while before I can make pickles.

This is a simple way to can your pickles without canning, just stick in the fridge. Thats such an easy way. No one around here eat many pickles only when we have burgers. This is the wsy i would make them if we ate alot of pickles. Very easy recipe to follow. Thankyou for pickle video. I enjoyed hanging out with you.. 😊

Gosh I remember my parents doing this. Dad would be the cutter by hand. I can see him adjusting his jaw as he cut lol. House smell so good. Mom got all other ingredients and jars ready. Yum

I miss my granny making pickles! We always knew which were sweet pickles because she added food coloring and they were blue-green but so good for sweet I prefer dill or bread and butter!

I remember helping do Bread and Butter pickles with hot water bath and dill pickles, sliced and spears with my Mom and Grandpa when I was younger. Delicious. Mom tried refrigerator pickles and for some reason didn't like them. Your recipe looks easy and good Pawpaw. 😋

When I was younger and my kids was little I would can bread and butter pickles, sweet pickles, salt pickles, and good old sour pickles, I did like 30 and 40 jars or more of each never put any in refrigerator until they was open because they was all sealed up good and they would last years your video made me want to make bread and butter again but I have never made icebox bread and butters❤ thank you for sharing

Paw Paw. I use the same recipe. The only difference is that I don’t use jars. I put my pickles in recycled Cool Whip containers (or something similar).

That's just amazing.Oh my God, I can taste it over the camera.My mouth is watering. My mom used to do that before she passed. I think I'm gonna start doing that.I love butter pickles love them. My grandson is crazy.He puts butter pickles on his peanut butter sandwich. I tried it.I was Shocked pretty good little different. But you guys are amazing You do really good with your pickles your cooking. Especially your biscuits oh my god. I haven't made homemade biscuits in. 25 years It's very difficult when you have a hard time getting places with no car. And no family to help.
