I just had one given to me and pretty happy with it. It has already had the fuel lines replaced. Getting a new plug this week. Still ran great on pre mixed fuel from the local hardware store .. 50:1 mix.. but I am going to look for an original fuel mixing tank and start mixing my own fuel. It being a teo stroke, will always have oil in the exhaust and leave an oil skim on the water. Synthetic oils are supposed to be better but I have not tried to compare the two of them to see. Mine was oretty much set on a shelf and ignored after 8 years it was rediscovered and thrown into a sale deal my friend made for a dinghy. He did not want it and has a 4hp suzuki, so he passed it to me and I want to test it out on my old fiberglass skiff. It will not be fast but should be funn to play around the back water with. Let's hope the tide is not too strong. Lol.

I have the same motor sitting on my porch. I had the same issue with the gas lines and changed those out. I also changed out the spark plug. I also added bees wax to the line that starts the engine to prolong the life. From there I changed out the gear grease. My motor was fairly new so I used 50;1 gas I bought at home depot. Big tip: use only premium gas and mix the oil correctly and she'll run for a long time. One more tip, never let it sit in idle for more than 5 minutes, the impeller only works when you crank the motor a few notches. Other than that, you got a good little motor if you maintain it and treat it like a princess.

I heard about the beeswax that's awesome I was thinking about going to Home Depot and buying some gas there as well I heard it's good gas yep I have her in the shed and I heard we were going to get hit by a storm she came inside my room thank you for the tips really appreciate it

Gotta call ya, I'm having an issue with the gas lines on my motor....I forgot which went were when I pulled them off. 😂😂
