Hank’s Squarebody Is FAR WORSE Than We Imagined…

Our friend Hank from Haniltonville Farm dropped off his squarebody Chevy that he has been building with his granddaughters for some paint and body work, but this thing is FAR worse than any of us imagined…
In this video, we’re going to show you everything that needs to be done to this thing before we can even START thinking about paint work… is it too much? Can we fix it? I guess time will tell…

These old trucks were bad for Fuel tank venting too , Check the cap remove it see if problem goes away might be creating a vacuum so gas can`t be drawn to motor .

Yessir. Vent tube was in good shape and not clogged. Once we replaced the carb, it ran a million times better

Looks like those are bolt-in bed sides. Have you checked into aftermarket replacements? Looks like you could get both sides for about a grand at Summit Racing. How much does Hank love his grand daughters?

Yessir, I believe they’re a combination bolt in/weld in. But the bracing and the floor are shot as well.

Didn't realize he bought such a rust bucket for the girls. Evidently he didn't look it over very well. Should just yank the small block out and find a better looking square body. I'm sure there are many out there cheaper than he's fixing to spend on repairs on this one!

I'm just saying this from experience edelbrock doesn't run right on Chevy I went with a holley 750 double pumper 4 barrel. My truck runs as smooth as glass.
