His song, "D. Ray White," is about a real family. You'll see them, if you react to his video. There's also a movie about them, called White Lightnin'. It stars Carrie Fisher, but there's another movie, that's an actual documentary with the real family and it's called, The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia. I wouldn't watch the previews on KZbin, because they're too much like spoilers. I almost forgot to say, that it's a great song.

Junior Jr. has a handful of awesome songs. Lowdown, has one of the coolest country riffs ever, in my opinion, and good lyrics, too. When you really want to hear one, that sounds like his granddaddy, react to, "5 Shots of Whiskey." It sounds a lot like a classic Hank song. Btw, a really cool Hank jr. song is, "Whiskey on Ice." I often hear you say, that a subscriber requested the song you're reacting to, and I'm a subscriber requesting a Sheldon Williams song. a.k.a. Hank Williams III. (lol) I really think you would enjoy hearing his song, "Thunderstorms, and Neon Signs," because it's got a real country twang to it, and he sounds like Hank Sr. This one isn't a request, it's a suggestion. lol "Lowdown," is a great Hank III, song, that has a cool country music riff, and great vocals by HWJ3.

3 puts on a hell of a live show. Their first set is country, second is hellbilly and last is hardcore punk. This isn't one of his best. Try "Thunderstorms and Neon Signs", Thrown Out the Bar" or "7 Months 39 Days".

I believe your reaction to this song was dead on. Here in Oklahoma we call it White Lighting. Thanks for the song and your opinion on it.

I'm from Oklahoma as well.. The first and only time that I tried "white lightning" was when I was 19 in 2011, in the mountains of Colorado in our elk hunting camp. A guy from another camp that we met up there, who happened to be from Oklahoma as well, made it and would bring it with him on his trips up there.

@@RockN2Country Hank Jr. and Hank III actually made an album titled "Three Hanks: Men with Broken Hearts" and it has "I'll Never Get Out of this World Alive" which features all three of them singing it. There's also an old song of Hank Sr.'s on there called "Moaning the Blues" which they added Hank III in it. Both of those remade versions of Sr.'s songs are neat to listen to, to compare and contrast the generational differences and similarities between them.

Used to listen to a little bit of him around the time this concert was recorded. 2010-ish. I just graduated high school that year. He looks and sounds a lot like Sr. Most of his songs that I've heard from him seem to be about pills/drugs, so I don't listen to him anymore. I've seen that stuff destroy my family, so I'm not into songs that glorify the use of it.

Hank 3 sings all kinds of country but NOT the pop kind. He has lots of good songs out there. Try something like Dick in Dixie(live) Long Hauls and Close Calls - Hellbilly version, Country Heroes, Rebel Within, Hellbilly Joker, Smoke & Wine, The Grand Ole Opry to name some

I notice you are a reactionary that reacts to more Alt Country/Americana/Red Dirt than anyone else. Might be kinda obscure and you probably won't like it but check out where this stuff got sparked with Uncle Tupelo, "Whiskey Bottle" I don't think there are any decent live versions of it though.

@@RockN2Country I was watching the Wagon Wheel Darius Rucker episode and had an idea for your channel. There has always been a debate over that song between which version is better. The original or Rucker's . I was thinking you could occasionally do reactions and reviews to other covers versus originals. Kind of like a Who did it Better reaction. Might be something different nobody else does and could spark some friendly debate in the comments. Might take a little more work to compare 2 songs though.

Listen to His version of "Atlantic City". Not only did hank 3 begin life as his father's son, playing the drums. he grew into a professional metal bass player. Touring all over the world for metal bands. Then basically by court order, (child support) he had to sign a record contract. And using his family's name he signed on to Curb records.
