Hank jr was only 3 when his dad died. So I'm sure it runs in the genes! The Coalition is a great song! Especially for this era right now!! Kaliga, Mr. Weather Man, The Conversation with jr & Waylon Jennings. Ajax Mountain...Great song about jr falling off Ajax Mountain. True story! You should play it & read about it. Very interesting & a pure miracle he survived!!

True story. I saw Hank Jr at the Tulsa County Fair in the early 80's on a double bill with Waylon. Hank came out on stage, tore his shirt off, fired a couple shotgun rounds in the air, and proceeded to open the show with a solo on every instrument on the stage, finishing on the keyboards dragging his boot up and down the keyboard. Then the show began......

Hank Jr is a bad ass musician, as he can play a variety of instruments. And also has a great distinct voice. His father was a great musician as well. Most of music is natural feel and rhythm. If you don’t have you just don’t have it. And may never have it. I know you’ve done some Jamey Johnson. But Jamey Johnson has a song titled “Lead Me Home” and that is a very good tune! Would love to see what you think about Jamey and his skills as a musician!!

When it comes to relationships, I tried to teach my 5 Sons, You must always be truthful, Be open-minded, Never expect another person To change, Just to fit your narrative Of what they should be. And if you find yourself in a situation where Someone you cared deeply about Disappoints you, Stop! You must realize at that moment it's not about you. Move forward You're understanding Of what brought you And this person you care deeply about, To this place and time. Only from that place, Can you move forward. Be prepared For hard thuths And self reflection.

Hank Jr. has a son that goes by the name "Hank 3" that looks and sounds a lot like Hank Sr.. It's a bit haunting when you watch the 1990's video of him live performing Hank Sr's songs, and wearing his suit. But his original music is wild in comparison to sound and subject matter. And his voice has gotten a bit gravely.
