Do you know how much this engine weighs? I don't trust the spec sheets online. I have a 14 foot porta bote with a 52 pound 6 hp Suzuki 4 stroke. Weight limit for the motor is about 60lbs. Do you think this engine is putting out more like 10 hp since it is the same cc as a 9.9 Tohatsu 2 stroke? The Tohatsu is supposed to weight 57 lbs. With my family in the boat the 6 is pushing us around 10 to 11mph. Really not bad for 6 hp. I has hoping to get the closer to 15mph.

@@dragthis2006 no illinois does not require title for engines it does have a serial number on it though. Thanks for the comment!

What replica is this of for parts is it the Tohatsu 9.9 thanks for any info

@@4000jrock Most say its a replica of the 9.8 Tohatsu i havent had to order parts so im not 100% on it but thats what ive seen from videos, and posts. Thanks for the comment!!!

@@blakemason4535 thats awesome! I had mine a little over 3 years never had any issues i used the break in schedule in the manual, put lower end oil in it wen i unboxed it and it was great! Thanks for the comment!!

Hello i have watched your other videos and other videos on this brand outboard. I have to register and title our outboards separate from the boats in SC. Did they send all the information and title or mso title of orgin when you purchased it ?? Appreciate any information. Where di you purchase yours ?

@@larryalexander4833 bought mine off of amazon, it did not come with any paperwork it had a vin # but no actual origin of manufacter or anything.

No it did not come with a title, my mercury didnt either i just got a copy of the origin of manufacture.

@@larryalexander4833 never had to register the motor just my boat it had a vin # on it i used to put insurance on it. Thanks for the comment!
