The one time i rode Addiction it was similar conditions. Was sketchy and fun . I'm definitely going back when it's dry for a proper nudge at it

I have a long list of tracks I want to ride when dry. Maybe this summer is the one.🙂

You can imagine what a great weekend bike trip it is for those from Chch. Nice food, hot pools and good riding. Tombstone is great although I only did it on my steamer. The climb was killer haha
@bestdayevermtb29 ай бұрын
Yes it would be a nice weekend break from Christchurch. I imagine that clime on a steamer would be tough.

Awesome video Lance that track looked really nice ride. And yes I did put my hand up to tell you don’t go down it . But that was a waste of time. Well at least you was safe etc . I guess there won’t be many more videos from South Island because I did see the other day you are back in Auckland

I was wondering if that was you who put your hand up.😂

ah nice! You're in my neighbourhood. I was just there today in fact. Maybe about time I should blat about the Hanmer tracks on my Surron ;) Edit: and yeah coming down that track on a heavy Surron aint too fun tbh Edit2: Rains 1 day out of 10? Mate its rained like 1 day out of 100 down this way. Could do with shunting some of that weather you have up there down this way!

Hi Lance make sure you head up Fringe Hill in Nelson and also do a few laps out Cable Bay. Access around a few tracks in Codgers and Sharlands is limited at present. Would offer to guide but I'm on a non emtb..Will be interested to hear your opinion on Nelson tracks...Cheers

Back in Auckland now. Didn't get to ride in Nelson as much as planned. Had to come home early for family reasons.

I don’t understand what the problem is Lance, that looked like a grade 3 flow trail

That tracks brake pad wear to enjoyment ratio was a bit high for me.

On the video it just looks flat. Would like to do again in the dry.

Watching your vid I was thinking "you have to do Tombstone", glad you did. Looks like it has changed a bit since I rode it in 2020. If I remember correctly, the 2017/2020 means it took the trail builders 3 years to build. One thing about the South Island is that you are riding rocks, not Woodhill sand!
@bestdayevermtb29 ай бұрын
Yes very different to Woodhill. I love riding all the different types of trails the South Island had to offer.

Wet, steep, narrow, overgrown, running blind and alone… Looks easy from the couch here… Ya, I’m way better than that… 🤣
