I just want to take the time to say thank you, and Merry belated Christmas. I didn’t expect my eyes to be opened to a lot of what I’m experiencing by listening to you speak. It’s very comforting to be able to understand myself more, rather than amounting everything to “something is wrong with me”. The imposter syndrome/Cognitive dissonance/perfectionism is a big one for me. In a previous vlog you mentioned being stressed because items had no place to go. I felt that like bricks. You are an overall pleasant person to experience. No matter what you do, I’m happy to be here. I hope that you are well, and feel good things.

I often have trouble eating breakfast early in the morning, but whenever I watch your videos I’m able to eat!! Thanks for keeping me company 🥰 Edit: just got to the part where you talk about perfectionism and I relate so strongly. Its restricting in ways I didn’t even realise before, and so difficult to break out of the habit. I also experience that it is a bit of a roadblock in my relationship eith my boyfriend, luckily he’s able to help me reflect and break out of those habits but maaan thats difficult. For me my perfectionism relates to me never feeling enough, so I’ve had to learn that I am allowed to take up space, to make mistakes, to be my actual self, to put my raw self out there. And maybe even be ‘anoying’, which is so hard

Same, I LOVE baking, it's fun and therapeutic for me. I always make large batches of different/assorted cookies each year for Christmas and gift them to everyone. This year for Christmas I made: red velvet macarons, classic American gingerbread cut out cookies (my faves were the ones iced with a blue background and white snowflakes drawn over it), brown butter chocolate chip walnut cookies, little snowmen and candy cane meringues and matcha chocolate checkerboard shortbread cookies

Hannah, I feel the same way you do when I'm out with other people. 🙈 I often thought it was just me feeling weird. I'm often so insecure and think about my posture, whether my hair looks good right now, how I might appear to other people and so on. It would be so nice to get out there without those stupid thoughts and just have fun. I often dissect conversations down to the smallest detail and don't feel good afterwards. We went to a smaller concert over the weekend and I kind of kept comparing myself to other women. Although I still know in the back of my mind that I don't really have to. So as you can see, you are not alone in this. And thank you for your honest thoughts. You are such a personable, pretty and natural person. ❤️

This monolog u had while decorating cookies felt like we were actualy together in the room, each doing our own thing and casualy talking, in other owrds spending some high quality time. It felt so intimet in the best way possible. I think it's because u weren't actualy looking at the camera but you were doing/focusing on someting else, but never the less we (the autience, viwers) were important to you and you wanted to spend time with us and talk. Just like some you love and u take every posible moment to talk to them and spend time. in this case you couldeve just put a time laps, but this that you did made it 10x bettter and cosier. I hope it made sense and others relate.

These vlogmas videos are giving me LIFE!!!! Also, to address your comment about sticking plastic in the microwave, there are several different types of plastic, and usually it will say on the bottom of the Tupperware or container whether or not they are microwave safe. Or you could simply look it up based off of the triangle and the number that they have on them. Also, wafers are incredibly easy to burn, as well as chocolate. Those are both things that if you were to stick in the microwave, you need to be watching them very closely and should only be placing them in there for less than 5 seconds, if that. I'm pretty sure that the recommended way for melting those would be on the stove because that way you can monitor them and stir them so they do not get stuck to the pot, and if it were to burn it'd be easier to manage even in a microwave. Love your vlogs!!
@jennifermarquez48232 жыл бұрын
If your counter oven is a convection oven, you can buy another rack for it and cook two cookie sheets' worth of cookies at once. :) Also for icing-- all you need is I stick of softened butter, 1 teas. vanilla, 3.5 cups of powdered sugar, and 3 Tbls milk. You can add more milk to get more of a royal icing look. I've never heard of corn syrup in icing either. Happy Holidays!
