I have been rooting for the Rose Inc concealer ever since you first tried it on camera. It’s such a beautiful match on you and it annoys me that you have to mix TWO expensive concealers from Natasha to get your match. I don’t know why I have such strong opinions when it’s not my makeup and not my face 😂

How do you blend the edges of concealer into the foundation-less areas? And how much skin prep, both skincare plus primer do you use understand? I buy the foundations/ bb-cc- etceteras. Then never use them...what you are doing seems like the answer!

@@cassstephens9910I don’t use a lot of corrector / concealer. I use a dot of pink corrector under each eye, blend, green corrector around my nose, blend, spot conceal on any areas with discoloration, blend.

@@cassstephens9910for me the key is finding a really good color match for the concealer and color correcting if necessary ie using the green to make your concealer blend into your natural skin better etc. + letting go of the idea of being “perfect”. Focusing on skincare to give yourself a really great base for the color correction & spot concealing is the greatest key. In my case, I invest more into a high quality barrier cream that resolves my dry skin so that the concealer blends seamlessly and without patchiness/streakiness, therefore there’s no obvious line between where the concealer ends and your skin begins. I find that applying concealer in veryyyy light layers also helps. I place it down under my eyes and around my mouth in tiny dots and blend those out, then add a *bit* more anywhere I want a little bit more coverage and focus blending it *only on those spots* so that the coverage stays there. I actually will also use the kosas cloud set *extremely sparingly* with a small fluffy brush to further conceal any blemishes and I find the blurring properties in it work wonders. I’ll also dust a very very small amount of the cloud set anywhere I get fine lines (under my eyes, smile lines) to blur those areas a bit and reduce the shine from such a hydrated base. This provides me with my ideal base that still allows my skin to shine through, imperfections and all - but just a little better ;) I also only use blushes with rosy brown undertones now so I can eliminate bronzer and contour as well. I place it all over my cheekbones, all the way up under my eyes (helps correct dark circles!) and lightly dust over my forehead and nose. Seriously a game changer. I hope this helps a bit :) you’ll have to play around and figure out the right combo of products/colors/skincare etc but over time you’ll discover what makes you feel the best and you’ll never look back! Edit - to add that my favorite “primer” is the hyaluronic acid from the Oridnary. With skin as dry as mine, I need all the hydration I can get to allow makeup to blend well on my skin! I use it on top of my barrier cream literally like a primer and my makeup will still set itself (I’m THAT dry) I’d say if dryness is not an issue for you, use something that will help lock your makeup in place - perhaps one of the perfecting primers Hannah showed here!

with each of your declutter videos i go through my makeup with the intention to declutter only to realize i did a massive declutter last year and have only bought a few eyeshadows this year. which is fine by me, cuz my brain stays updated on what i actually own and i get to play around with my small collection.

Through all of these de-clutter videos I am always struck with the thought that, beautiful packaging means more to me than I think it does. It's that "my precious" feeling that you always say, like a dragon sitting on its hoard of gold. When I see my Auric glow lust on the shelf or the the smoke reflect on the counter, I am struck by its beauty. Same with the Make skincare that has gorgeous packaging. It's so satisfying to hold in the hand.

Sort of unrelated - wonder if you could do a video on “strategies for decluttering your closet.” During my no-buy I’ve really started to dig into my clothes and loving on what I have, but I am starting to see areas where I could declutter. I’ve been LOVING the Lisa Eldridge elevated glow all over my face recently! sometimes I don’t even add foundation, but I just go ahead and do my blush and bronzer and maybe a teeny bit of powder and that’s it for complexion. Not sure if it’s a winter thing or what, but it feels absolutely heavenly!

I have made a travel/ weekend away set with the cosmetics I didn't use that often. It lives in my wardrobe for when I need to leave and have no time to pack. It is nice and easy, always ready and a good use of the semi favorable items.

Great work again Hannah. Very inspiring. I’m declutterring right along beside you! Two areas on which we differ here, last night I got rid of crystal nebula. I agreed it was a lovely product, but after almost a year of skipping over it because of the colour, I finally realised that was always going to be the case and bit the bullet. On the other hand I couldn’t believe you decluttered the Chantecaille powder! I audibly gasped when you said it was going. It was you who inspired me to purchase that whole line in the first place and, being unlucky with powders in the past, I held out little hope we’d actually get along. But OMG 😮! I died when I first put it on. That is one you will have to pry from my cold dead hand! I’m about 15 years older than you though so that may be why it’s such a holy grail for me. It’s hard to find a good powder for mature dry skin. Other than that I totally agreed with your decisions and actually felt a weight come off my own shoulders as you sighed in satisfaction at the clarity. Can’t wait to get through my whole collection. With this video, I just noticed the main difference between me and you, two lovers of makeup: I do not like to be "restrained" in the decision making process. I think it's worth noting, a key part of the decluttering muscle is the reflection and proof from past declutters. As time goes on, one can notice patterns in one's thoughts and thus their personal pitfalls/danger zones along with have proof of the liberation that decluttering can offer. Don't be too hard on yourself. If done regularly and with intention, time will help give clarity and strengthen the muscle

"It's so NARS-y!" - that gave me a chuckle. Just out of curiosity, (I'm probably not the only person who's asked), what are you doing with all your Salt NY stuff? I reach for Sneaky Balm at least once a week, but sadly, I feel like the rest of my Salt collection has fallen by the wayside because it's not in plain sight. I have a Glow Lust from the first release of Morganite that I RARELY use. She is old, but I'm struggling with the thought of letting her go because the packaging is so pretty. :(

I also bought the Monika Blunder... but it clings to all my texture & isn't quite my correct shade- I do like the quick level of coverage & lack of smell, but idk, I never liked my pictures with it 😭

I know 'declutter' is a completely unimpeachable key word but I've really started to think of these videos as 'collection reviews'. Like, maybe "declutter" applies easily to stuff like mascara where it's cycling through faster, but I like the feeling of "Are we still doing illuminating primer? Yes, we are. Prism libre was among my Christmas presents this year. Found it a bit cakey yesterday and it seemed to get into my pores, but not sure if it was not using a primer/something else. May go back to number 7's green colour corrector primer today but i really want to know.
