*UPDATES* - I love the YTTP night cream but not sure I'll buy a full size because it's so $$ - I have actually been using the topicals primer because my pores have been looking giant lately (why??!?!) and it's growing on me - I don't like the tower 28 concealers. they feel dry even when I use my hydrating primers. I have repurchased the REFY concealer - the NARS lipstick is EVERYTHIGGGGGG I have been wearing it every day since filming this. I have actually been trying to re-create this whole look almost every day, I loved how it came out so much, even more than I expressed in this video. This is me now, this is the new me, I am now an elf

OMGGGG when you pulled out the YTTP I squealed. Also a dry skin queen over here and I use it as my night lotion in winter time. The nice thing is a tiny bit goes a long way (if used as lotion and not as a mask), so the price isn't so bad in the long run.

I've had the full size of the YYTP mask but the large one is 2oz and I had the efficacy go off before I could finish it. But you usually use more than I do so I don't think you'd have the same problem IF you ever decided to buy the full size.

I had to try SO many shades of the T28 concealer shades before I found the right one, in the end BU and DTLA worked really well for my late 40s under eye, I (combo skin) don't find it dry at all. But the colors were not easy to figure out at all. I use the Refy on my face and T28 under my eyes, but the Refy dries and settles too much under my eyes. ALSO I got the green Prada powder for Xmas and it's incredible. Occlusive not super cheap but excellent is the glossier after Baum. AND AND the reds in the pallet might look great with the green undertone, I get reds that actually end up looking brown on me x

YAY A NEW HANNAH! Btw, Papain is what you often see listed as "pineapple enzyme" in skincare -- generally in cleansers, chemical exfoliators, peeling gels, etc. From my reading, its efficacy is limited (it's probably included here to help encourage the skin around those scars to increase its turnover rate, but honestly you'd probably get more out of glycolic). I don't have a ton of pit-type scars either, but I'm still tempted to give this a whirl bc it's one of the ONLY "filling/smoothing" primers I've ever seen that *doesn't* contain cyclomethicone (cyclopentasiloxane, cyclohexasiloxane) or polysilicone-9 / -11. Those are all tiny round ball 'cones that're good at settling into pores and such and then self-leveling to smooth the skin (unlike long flat chain-molecule dimethicones, which are for making a thin even film on skin or hair). They do work very well for that! Unfort they're also a guaranteed maaajor cystic breakout for me. :\

It looks like that NARS lipstick looked good at first application but, like many dark colors, when blotted out it appears to have settled into the lines of your lips quite a bit, even when you spread it out with the brush. I think that means that it is too pigmented to wear blotted out like that for me. I think the balms do a better job for me and I will stick with those since I don’t go for the vampy dark lipsticks anymore. Thanks for trying them out for us!
@culturecrashAL3 күн бұрын
I have that problem with a lot of superdark lipsticks too, plus the satin/creamy ones tend to not wanna stick on that inner lip area, and my Normal Mouth Posture (??) has a lot of that skin exposed so it always looks weird/bad. But! This technique DOES work much better with a drier matte lipstick formula. I just bought the DVN matte in "Violet Silk" and it's even darker than this -- but it looks fab blotted down and buffed into the lips, and the matte formula means it doesn't gather in liplines!
@saulemaroussault63432 күн бұрын

Love the this 1940's look with a minimalist/contemporary shift to it. If you want a quick application for the lipstick finish you want, try using your ring finger to grab color directly from the lipstick and dab it onto your lips.Then, rotate your lipstick to use the pointy part to line the edges that needs finishing touches. Lastly, I think the taupe/brown duo shadow from Patrick Ta, will give you that color and texture you want for this look (I think you have thar shadow from a last review you did).

I will love NARS Cruella for all time. I’ve never found a better deep red or formula.

I also have decided that online shopping isn't working. Makeup I only purchase once a year but my wardrobe is wearing out and every time I find something else with seams undone because the thread has just disappeared or the fabric has thinned to the point of tearing I go directly online. After replacing several staples with things that work in theory but I would never have purchased in person. 2025 is my year to go shopping in person.

Ooooo, yeah I've severely limited my online clothes shopping to just stores/brands whose quality and sizing I know and can somewhat depend on -- WAY too many wild cards out there, quality-wise! Even at relatively high price points! But I still do most of my makeup shopping online, because I can make it a leisurely (if often infuriating; FOH with the 5-second TikToks with nine beauty filters and bizarre lighting and you don't even mention the shade name?!) search for swatch photos and comparisons and try-on videos -- and compare those screenshots to swatch pics of things I already own . . . instead of rolling the dice on an in-store purchase where I'm just going by the color of the bullet (lol) or a display swatch well (LOLLLL) and then hoping it A) actually works for me and B) isn't an exact dupe of something I've got at home.

I’ve decided I hate online shopping for clothes, everything is a disappointment

The Nars lipstick is gorgeous - how does it wear? If you apply a full saturated layer, does it fade to that beautiful blotted look or does it smear or go blotchy? I've always been scared of traditional bullet lipsticks for fear of constant awareness/reapplication and so usually land on lip stains instead, but that colour is really selling me! I wonder if it bears any resemblance to the new Mob lipstick that's inspired by the colour of dried blood...would be an interesting comparison.

Ok Hannah- I also like grey undertone makeup on me- especially lipstick. So I went to Sephora today to try that lipstick and it is a bullseye. Something I would never have thought to try had I not seen this video!!!

Hannah! Remember your grungy valentine eye palette creation of years past?!! That Nars lipstick would definitely go with that look and a couple of those shadows remind me of that video! One of my all time favorite videos, btw!🥰👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💕😍🖤🖤🤎🤎

Maybe try applying the top middle shade with a damp brush so it's more thick on the eye - this should cover the orange tone under the beautiful shine

I've been using the Tower 28 concealer as my undereye concealer (just 2.0 BU, in my case) for some time now, and I have noticed it's a bit dry for my mid-40s undereyes. Personally I don't find the consistency watery but I don't find it creamy, either. The NARS Explicit Lipsticks are pretty new, released within the last few months.

Thank you! I agree....its better to get your hands on and play with products. My goal this coming year is to try in store as much as possible! I typically rules out overhyped things and discover things I truly like in person. Happy New Year everyone! 🎉💜🥂

I am obsessed with the Refy concealer. All over the face it’s amazing. I have some eczema under my eyes so am struggling to see it it will be a good under eye concealer for me but so far as a foundation I absolutely loveeeee it. I’ve already bought a backup

Over the last year I've made a rule for myself that I have to go in store to browse if I want new products I've never tried before. Online is for window shopping and re-purchases only and I've realized how different my picks are when I go in-store. Products that I loved the look of online were not at all what I wanted them to be in person and I was drawn to things I never would have seen otherwise. Not just because of the color, texture, and packaging experience but also because there's a very specific "season" of products that are being pushed online at any given time and going in person lets you break outside of that curation a bit and really see whats out there. I am lenient about this rule for drugstore products since they don't typically have testers anyway, but overall it really reduces spend and increased the quality of my little collection.

If you use a greigey, taupey matte-perhaps one of the about face fluid eye paints-as a base for that reflective shade, it might cancel out the orange base and only show the reflect you like.

please keep trying the topicals product. i had that fantasy months ago when i saw it, but then assumed it was just porefessional with actives that shouldn’t be on my face during the day. if it fills the pits PLEASE let us know! i have two similar scars that I really want to fill.

I use my OH lip treatment literally as skin care. It lives in the bathroom with the skin care. I scored a double pack in the beginning of holiday season.
