Today is my bedroom and walk in closet clean! Wiping down walls and ceilings and shelves, cleaning drawers and windows. Then decluttering our clothes- so many clothes! But, the hubby asked that I keep 2 dress shirts, 2 dress pants and a blazer and 1 pair of dress shoes for just in case (we are very much jeans and t-shirt people) so that will be easy for his items, but mine 🙄😬 I am determined to be ruthless with myself! There is nothing better than smelling a deeply cleaned home after a long winter!

I find one of the things that helps keep me motivated when cleaning is if the product I am using to clean with smells wonderful. As an example, one of my favorite scents by Mrs Meyers is Snowdrop and when that came out late Autumn as part of its winter collection I found the fragrance motivated me even more to clean just about everything. I loved that fresh, clean scent it gave off, plus it reminded me of a smell from my childhood, so it evoked so much nostalgia. Seeing your home get clean and organized as the work progresses tends to really motivate me to keep going. I love the peace of mind having my home clean gives to me and finding things easily.

I love watching others who are motivated to do their spring cleaning. I just have no energy or motivation. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I like the mix of Dawn and vinegar to clean my tub & shower. We don’t have glass doors, but I like to keep one of the dish scrubbers that you fill with dish soap in the shower to scrub down anything that needs it when I’m in the shower.

I love watching your cleaning videos even if I have already done my cleaning! One tip I have to share is with the duster you’re using from Grove. Whenever I get streaks on my mirrors after cleaning them I wait until they’re completely dry then I dust them off using this duster and it gets rid of all the streaks! It’s such a useful cleaning tool/product!

Hannah this was so encouraging and motivating! Seeing the areas you were spring cleaning up close made me feel like I’m not alone in my home needing a deep clean. My spaces also look clean from far, but are far from clean! 😉 I’m currently 5 months pregnant with our 3rd baby and compiling a list of things to be done before she arrives, so this was very helpful to see where you focused and a good reminder to take it one space at a time. Always love your videos.I moved into a senior apartments.They have tile and glass shower.I found shower spray and cleans the door also.after I clean the door I spray let it dry.I don't use bought cleaners not healthy also I am sensitive to chemicals.recipe is take a spray bottle put 2 cups water,2cups vinger,24 drops of lemon essential oil and 10 drops of tea tree.After I shower I spray also.I have hard water.even gotten my friends to use it .have a bless week.youre doing awesome ☺️ps also helps with mold and mildew.I just use vinegar and baking soda when it needs scrubbing

I think having a schedule during the week on which days you clean certain rooms in the house can help you stay motivated and not overwhelmed by having to clean a whole house! especially with kids it can be very hard to keep anything clean long and having set days eases the mind as well ! I love the look of a glass door on a shower but I think a shower curtain is so much easier when the liner gets dirty you can stick it in the washer machine and it comes out brand new

To clean the shower I would recommend using Dawn power wash, wet the surface first then Spay it with dawn power wash, scrub and use a squeegee on the tile and shower doors to remove water.

Thank you for inspiring everyone! I normally begin with an overall dusting, vacuuming and steam mopping. That generally is all the time I have for one day. Other days I take one room at a time, cleaning walls, cobwebs, Damp Rid the closets, do any decluttering and reorganizing, etc. Opening the window bringing in fresh air is the perfect end of the day.

Really great video! I also have times where I'm not so motivated to clean. I try to remind myself that the satisfied, accomplished feeling after you complete the task is well worth the discomfort you feel when just starting. I have a lot of anxiety disorders and I find that the cleaning process is extremely therapeutic so there's another reason for me to just get going. You are so right! You can only do what you can do. I break my spring cleaning up into zones. Wet- Bathrooms and Kitchen and Dry -Bedrooms and living spaces. I even space these among the week. I make a schedule and if I have to change something I don't beat myself up over it. I only have my family and I to please in my home.

Hey Hannah - We recently put in a new shower too - I have a rule that after every shower we squeegy the door and then I spray it once a week with a mix of cleaning vinigar and dish soap ONLY and wash off with hot water, this keeps it spot free until I give it a good scrub once a month. I've manage to train my teenage daughter's to do the same in their bathroom which is a huge help. Bless your energy - you keep me motivate xxxx
