Entity-scale greenhouse gas quantification guidance for forest management activities across the United States
In response to growing demands for information and standard guidance for land management activities, the United States Department of Agriculture has led an effort to update the 2014 USDA “Quantifying Greenhouse Gas Fluxes in Agriculture and Forestry: Methods for Entity-Scale Inventory” report. The update to the Forest Management chapter, led by the USDA Forest Service, sought to address forest management greenhouse gas (GHG) quantification needs across a spectrum of forest landowners while also identifying critical gaps requiring further research and science delivery. This seminar will present an overview of this forthcoming publication and ongoing work to advance future versions of this guidance.
