It's different in English but not worse. Another language gives an other dimension to him. Nice to understand both Dutch and English!

He goes from really really bad to really really funny which is good because I need the breaks from laughing to much.

If only you guys could understand dutch, his masterpieces are probably 'Trui' (Sweater) and 'Dat dan weer wel' (That then again). His delivery there was some of the best I've ever seen in comedy, dutch or foreign. Obviously some jokes don't translate very well and you have to understand the dutch culture to fully familiarize with his characters/skits. So this show, however great it is, feels like a radio edit of a comprehensive song. It's like listening to the first 3 minutes of Bohemian Raphsody if you're familiar with his original work in dutch.

He is worse in English or are we worse in English ? He is better in Dutch or are we better in Dutch ?.....strange that we didnt ask that questions by ourselves.
@dco10195 жыл бұрын
If we ask those questions we are probably the worst versions of ourselves. A good version of yourself would know the answer

Hans Teeuwen is not funnier in Dutch. Dutch people think that because it's their native language.
@laus70803 жыл бұрын
Nah he's better in Dutch. Those subtle tricks to perfect the transitions between jokes etc. is simply better in Dutch. But I think in London he gave a hundred percent and chose the more musical approach because the language of music is universal.
