It’s sad. I have a part of the blame because I never bothered to research and dive more into it. I just took Magnus word for granted and what the majority of the community believed in. But recently, while looking at Hans’ games and his interview it doesn’t make sense all the agenda against him. I guess they don’t like his personality as it is different from the rest of the GMs, but that’s not a reason to ruin someone’s career. Unfortunately people and myself included sometimes don’t bother researching before forming an opinion and a lot of the times go with the masses. We look up to people that are on top of the world as if they are Gods. I’m talking about Magnus here, he is just human and has negative feelings and may speak out of those feelings sometimes. Did he do it intentionally to ruin someone’s career or was he just careless and spoke after being upset from a bad loss? Idk but doesn’t really matter here. People need to do their own research and form their own opinions not follow along like sheep. No one can be absolutely correct based on feelings and suspicion. I’m glad for Hans as he didn’t cave in to the enormous pressure.

@@k13tron This is a great lesson and what I have said was the biggest issue from the start. I remember getting abused for telling the truth about what should have been obvious from the start here. They banned him for not violating any rules. And for psychopathic reasons, and continuing to make excuses. I agree with Chesscom that Hans has always had pis poor charisma. Yet that never stopped me from pointing out that it is not justification for banning and cyberbullying him. Here is the only valid expectation from Hans: Be treated exactly the same way as everybody else. Presumed innocent until proven guilty. This is how all competitors are treated. And none any different from the other. Which was not the case of what happened with Hans.

When your idols become rivals and you surpass those who you look up too, this isn't happening much in any sport. Magnus made a huge mistake by allowing a post-match interview. He showed how distraught he was after watching Hans win the day before by claiming 'he couldn't get any sleep'. The universe is finally aligning for the Hans/Magnus saga. It will not be an easy match in France for Magnus and he knows that. He knows the implications of him potentially losing and Hans knows this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to prove to the chess world he is one of the best in the world.
