I love the extended version a lot more than the shorter one because what makes a song like this more grandiose is the slow build, you can't just start at 11 and expect people to be blown away you start at 3 then build and build then BAM the transition hits you like a ton of bricks.

Just rewatched last night. This fucking movie gets better every time, similar to another Nolan movie I love, staring a bat and a clown. ❤

I love the terrifying irony that Dom Cobb's crew have been symptomatically taught in Special Forces techniques and possess extensive knowledge of psychological warfare, all from their veteran experience traversing dreams and stealing ideas and information -- vicariously making them slippery and highly efficient combatants, even when outnumbered and outgunned to the teeth... Theyre thieves, and conmen -- but the reality that they are also one of the most tactically proficient and dangerous fugitives in all the world, all BECAUSE of this training is something worth thinking about... and the fact that nowhere is safe from them; not even within the bowels of your own mind... Like, Dominic Cobb could give the likes of CIA, MI6, GRU, Spetsnaz, Special Forces and even supercops a run for their money, with an unexpected amount of lethality... and all because theyre good at a job that has them surviving against all odds in a tactical environment that no one, absolutely NOONE, trains for in this modern age...

A little before 5:18 sounds like the soundtrack for one of the xmen movies, specifically a scene with magneto in it.
@darkknightreturns16277 ай бұрын
Yea the Viola Ostinato was also used in the Magneto theme. The composer for that theme is Zimmer's protege.

4:20 - 4:50. I get goosebumps. It sounds so angry and seething, yet also so sad and desperate. I sounds like the sort of music that would fit a biological situation well, like a virus or zombie movie.

The most well known part starting at 4:50 sounds different from what is available elsewhere online. It's like it has less sound defintion or something. Less complexity?
