15 year auto tech here. When I heard wait an hour then torque after rtv part install, I cringed. With rtv your suppose to apply, install and torque within 15 minutes, then wait four hours for rtv to cure before adding oil. Or at least that's what every vehicle service information I've read says how to install RTVed parts. Other than that, very informative video and thank you for sharing😊.

@@Slashburn69 www.permatex.com/the-ten-most-common-gasketing-mistakes/ Typically, RTVs require a minimum of two hours to set up and 24-hours to achieve the full cure that’s needed before adding fluids or returning the vehicle to service. Straight from the source!

Awesome video.. I'm gonna be doing the same job soon on my Ducati monster 2012 696.. Can you share if possible what that tool is that you used for the torque specific tightening was that you twist and it clicks. Is it adjustable to different torque settings?

It was from my mountain bike tool preset to 5ft lb.

Hi, check 5:17 and 10:53 of video, looks like clutch "head" (which hold the plates) should be installed in its own set of slots (not so deep ones), and you installed it in same slots with clutch plates. Not sure, if it is wrong, but at least noticeable
@HansGarage7 ай бұрын
this is my third time installing and it is the correct way to install together in the slots

Nice job. Wonder why you waited 2 days to fill with oil, letting RTV cure? Did i miss the model and year of bike?
@HansGarage2 жыл бұрын
Yea, just to make sure it was completely dry. I've been riding all season and no leaks so did the job right for sure. 2011 monster 696

I did like you say and when i put first gear the bike moving without even that i realise the clutch lever,its just not stand when i press clutch And when the bike on first gear is not go to nutral and upper gear ,only if i speed on first gear,then he will go to upper gear,what could it be i did wrong????

Seems like you need to bleed out the clutch line and make sure the rubber is properly set in the clutch reservoir
@nickita58759 ай бұрын
nice video, but first of all try to tight in the bolts opposite and you also overtight the bolts in your clutch when you try to torque the bold with the 5nm (wich is nothing) the bolts are dont even move, you just give presure on your torque "wrench"

I think the first disk is wrong installed
@HansGarage2 ай бұрын
Its not. Been riding for two years now and no issues
@1993gunni2 ай бұрын
I saw the video when you start to uninstall the clutch, the first disk was in a different position
@HansGarage2 ай бұрын
@@1993gunni what time exactly? Are you taking about the clutch disks holder? Theres no right or wrong since the clutch itself spins freely. Its not like crankshaft that has top dead center
