One of the top hits of 1976, John Miles played as part of Tina Turners touring set up from 1987 onwards, he was a hugely talented musician and singer, check out his performances of Bohemian Rhapsody, sadly he died in December 2021, RIP John Miles.

Thanks for reacting to this one. Probably my favourite song of all time. John Miles has been involved with Night of the Proms in Europe since mid 80s & has performed there many times so I suppose it has become their unofficial anthem. There are a few live versions from over the years on KZbin.

A very late reply to your reaction, but i agree with everything you said, you went through all the emotions as i did. There is so much to say about this performance, but you said it all , the ending is on par with "Bridge Over Troubled Water"....Beautiful!

Ahh, I just went through your earlier reactions and I’m so glad that Allan introduced you to this masterpiece of a song that really is a kind of incarnation of what music is about. So wonderful arranged with his, in this performance, angelic voice🥰. There are some other live performances out where he had full orchestra alongside, which in my opinion emphasises a lot more the heroic feelings. I loved and enjoyed your so emotional reaction and like it, when you not hold back😊. This song touches you in a way, that you literally don’t know whether you should tearing up of pure joy, move to the rhythm of enthusiasm or just hold your breath for anticipation of what to come🤩🥰. RIP John Miles 🙏. Thank you HAP for this enthusiastic reaction. Love your channel and the diversity on it🥰🙋🏻♀️.

Love this song and tune ... and your reaction, of course! :-) While watching your video a scene from the movie "Diner" came into my mind. You don't have to react to it, but you should watch it ... Video is called "Diner 1982 Record Collection Scene". It might be the best scene ever showing how guys feel about music and what's going on in their mind?! I Don't know ... but I do love this scene! Reminds me of me, as I am vinyl-addicted!^^+gg

now after that old mimed performance, listen to John's 2016 live performance with orchestra at this Night of the Proms concert in Antwerp in 2016. Truly magnificent. RIP John,,,, what a talented musician - he was MD at this show which he toured annually and was also MD Tina Turner for a number of years and also played with Joe Cocker.
