My favourite part of the lyrics is: "Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty: What would life be? Without a song or a dance, what are we?" That part says something more, something more profound than what the words themselves convey. ♥

My dear Friend, how I miss You from the greatest last reaction with "Chiquitita" ; so glad to see You return with ABBA again "Thank you for the music" has many interesting details There is a video report to Björn and Benny at 1976 Christmas time there the reporter asks them if they have a preview of a song and there they play the melody (without lyrics) of the future "Thank you for the music" how several already said "Thank you for the music" is the first song of the mini musical that ABBA performed on their 1977 Tour of Europe and Australia there it has other lyrics, which even mention 'John and Paul' (The Beatles) and Agnetha sings in Doris Day style The song is at the end of "ABBA The Movie" and is part of "ABBA The Album" with the version you did here and also with the Doris Day version. Thank you for the music it's a very special song for Agnetha she just came back from Australia shortly after she got pregnant with her second child When it was time to record it, she was in a very advanced stage of pregnancy, and to sing it she had to do it in a more forced position When you see her in each presentation, Agnetha's face seems to transform with joy when interpreting "Thank you for the music": her gestures, her looks and her pouting are unmissable "Thank you for the music" it was used as the last number of a TV presentation, as this video It's like an ABBA hymn and classic wasn't a single, but should have been the 3rd single of ABBA The Album After the success of "Chiquitita" in Spanish-speaking countries, ABBA also recorded it in Spanish and it was a great success in my country Argentina. And the ABBA album in Spanish language was called just like that "Gracias por la música" In my personal opinion "Thank you for the music" is in my top 11 ABBA songs for good lyrics, beautiful melody and greatest interpretation by a carismatic Agnetha and it is the last live performance of ABBA, in that section sung almost 'a cappella' at the end of the last interview of ABBA in 1982 but now ABBA comes back after 39 years with two banger new songs: "I still have faith in You" & "Don't shut me down" and a brand new album "Voyage" with 10 new songs recording between 2017/2021, that will be released in next November 5 Now, the ages of ABBA members, are 71 Agnetha (1950 April) 74 Benny (1946 December) 76 Björn. (1945 April) 75 Anni Frid (1945 November)

Hi my boy! I felt joy when I heard that ABBA is getting together again (in their 70s) and releasing new songs and I literally had tears in my eyes when I heard the unchanged style and the lyrics of the 2 song that came out recently. They are wonderful! It’s heartwarming to know how far your musical knowledge got since you started your channel and opened up, started receiving and appreciating various music genres. Seeing young people like you admitting they enjoy good old bands and songs like this is priceless. It gives us “old folks” hope and makes us happy and proud!

Thanks for the ABBA. Have you reacted to or heard their two new songs? "I Still Have Faith In You" and "Don't Shut Me Down"? Even in their 70's ABBA still has the magic. Can't wait for the rest of the album. Just as amazing as ever.

Shakespeare once said..."music is the food of love"...and i would also add that Abba"s new comeback after almost 40 years gave us fans the kiss of life.Besides music is an enormously effective peaceful weapon. We should never underestimate its influenceJust think about it.Within just the 3-4 minutes of a song you got the easiest, most joyful, emotional, euphoric way to communicate and connect at once with a whole world.

Thank You For The Music was part of a mini musical performed on their 1977 tour. It contained this and 3 other songs, I Wonder (Departure), I’m A Marionette and Get On The Carousel. It tells a story about a young woman’s journey to becoming famous and the highs and lows that come with it
