Happier in the middle | 2018 in Review [CC]

I tried to do a better job of documenting the good days this year and I hope in 2019 I'll do even better. While my day to day is a lot of isolation, illness, and chronic pain, this past year I was able to travel more times than ever before in my life, thanks to work trips, and got to see my amazing friends and laugh and dance and have amazing conversations. I am so grateful for all the good moments I was able to experience! This was a very motivating year and I want more like it!

@@theannieelainey oh I definitely agree. Probably worded that wrong. Lately I've kind of given up in a sense and stop trying to go out and do stuff. It's just easier to stay home, but I'm tired of living this way, I'm more going to make a conscious effort to do more within my abilities than accepting defeat. My disability absolutely is a huge part of my life and affects everything I do, but I'm not going to let it stop me anymore...if that makes sense. Thank you so much for responding. And im in LOVE. this is the most recent video so it is the only other one ive seen but yeah! you seem super cool. and ive been disabled my whole life and the amount of stories i could tell about people giving my family or just myself the stink eye or making comments because i didnt look disabled (even though half the time they completely ignored the crutches or walker) or am too young to be disabled are endless. smh

Hi, please know you are not alone. There are so many of us who are suffering with illness as well. Please share some of the bad days as well. It would only show that we can cope with illness and still look up for better days in life together. I like your videos. I believe that the pronouns you prefer to be used for you are unnecessary information. The simple reason being that we can see you are female.

Annie uses both she/her and they/them pronouns, which is in the description. Both sets of pronouns are important, even if one seems obvious.

Including ones pronouns normalizes the act of doing so, so everyone should do it. Saying someone looks female and it is therefore obvious what pronouns they use on the other hand, normalizes gendering people based on their looks, which should be avoided.
