You're so strong to talk about it and to get this off your chest. The fact that you put so much emphasis on being positive for us truly shows your character. But sometimes the heavy stuff is important. And I don't come online just to get a cheap laugh or smile, I come for the community, and the people. And people know life isn't all sunshine and rainbows. We each have our separate issues but as humans we can all understand the feeling of being lost or broken in some way. Having being diagnosed with severe social anxiety makes me feel guilty because the more I study myself, the more I don't understand why I get so anxious. But sometimes there are parts of us that we can't understand and they are completely out of our control. And that's just how it is. We have our battles, and simply keeping on means we are slowly winning them. And what each and every one of us can do for each other and the world even while we fight... I believe that's what determines a life worth living, don't you?
@EliseEcklund Жыл бұрын
thank you so much. Yes, it's hard to accept that sometimes we won't understand why we are the way we are or why we're dealing with what we are, but there's so much peace in trusting God through it.

There is only one way to get to heaven, you must put your complete trust in Jesus Christ as your savior. @@Name-bk3jv The lack of dopamine can have different causes, which is what I mean - you don't just get it »out of nowhere« Depression can also occur because of childhood neglect for example. It is tough to identify, because in this case, the depression was not caused by something terrible that happened - it was caused by what did NOT happen. For example, if parents were too dysregulated themselves to bond emotionally with the child, no genuine compliments or other expressions of affection, not giving the child the feeling that it is supported without it feeling bad (many parents only build an emotional and supportive relationship with their child when they feel down, when they are okay it's like they don't really matter anymore)

I'm a lot older than you . I was diagnosed with ADHD and have had anxiety for many years. You are a funny intelligent interesting young lady. Glad you have support around you. I can see you are a very deep thinking person for someone so young. I love your pretty face and your levity. So hilarious when you get thrown ouy of venues for being simply clumsy ....I am too. Had a fall a night from my 50th birthday. Look after yourself Elise get help even if it's just chatting to a friend when you need it.

He is using a coping mechanism. Which tbh is partially how you get through depression. Don't judge, everyone goes through it differently.

We are all here for you Elise. I have been struggling a lot recently too even though you are an adult and I am only 13. It started with my physical help crashing and me getting really sick and then my mental help fell too. I have lost all but one of my friends at this point and currently homeschooling due to being diagnosed with many things. Rumors are being spread about me at school and you are so right that mental and physical heath play off of each other. Everyone has there own experiences and no one can truly understand what one has gone through, but I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I don’t want to act like I understand what’s going on with you because our situations are very different but there are pieces that we can understand about each other. In school I always isolate myself from others as a defence. I am afraid to let my guard down a lot of the time cause I don’t want to get hurt again after my best friend being so hurtful. You’ll get through this and so will I! I am also a musician, i Play Guitar, Piano, and drums! I am in two rock Bands and just played my first 3 shows. You are truly talented and I hope you read this!!!! Love you!❤❤❤

I totally agree with you that physical and mental health are intertwined. If you aren't mentally healthy, then you can't be physically healthy. I struggle with depression and anxiety which are mostly linked to my PTSD. I didn't have depression until highschool when I had my TBI, and I survived because of my faith in myself, I have family that cares for me, and I have developed an outlet for it with music and writing. My lowest period I was being horrifically bullied post TBI, but my mom always made sure I never felt alone. I started getting over the hump when I accepted that I will never be the same person I was and that I am never alone. Turns out the 5 stages of grief involve more than death. It involves people who are going through change, change in your life in general. For me, it was becoming disabled. I am glad you are talking about it, and want you to know I here you and see you. While I am not religious per-say my personal faith is what has driven me. God bless Elise!

Elise, I'm so so happy and proud you were able to get it off your chest!! It's a scary thing to open up about it to the whole world, but just know you did it and we're all hear to listen!! There's a lot of people that care! Most importantly, I also have anxiety disorder, mosaic Down Syndrome, obsessive thoughts and my panic attacks that my doctors and therapists helps me with, and with all of the support that I have in my life, you've given me even more hope and I believe in myself even more! You remind me so much of myself, so keep being the beautiful, talented and HILARIOUS lady u r!!!! Never be scared to say what you struggle with and always be yourself!! (:
