Other Kingdoms like Seunas of Devagiri aso called Yadavas of Devagiri were Kannada speakers Kadambas who ruled Goa for 500 years were Kannada speakers .Shilahara dynasty which ruled Mumbai for 300 years were Kannada speakers. Most of these areas were Kannada speaking at one time Huen Tsang Chinese traveller who visited both Hatshavardhana empire and Pulikeshi empure attests this in his travelogue I would like to call these areas Midwest India and they have Kannada roots both racially culturally linguistically and historically .More recently they have been influenced by North. But they are not North Indians in the way of Punjabis or Haryanvis North Indians can be further divide into North west type ie Punjab Haryana West UP. Uttaranchall Rajasthan even Pak Punjab Distinct from them.are East UP ,Bihar Jharkand MP form the Hindi Hindu Cowbelt Bengal Orissa Assam etc East Indians South Karnataka ie old mysore area AndhraTamilNadu Kerala are the prototype South Indians Another point is that about Karnataka and Andhra The Vengi chalukyas who ruled andhra for centuries were Kannadigas The Kakatiyas who were another great ruling dynasty of Andhra were from Kakati near Dharwad Belgaum area in north Karnataka!Even the Vijaynagar empire which was the first hindu empire after the inroads of Islamic rulers was started by Kannadigas Harihara and Bukka. Tuluvas also were rulers of Vijayanagar empire later on .However Kannada and Tuluva Vijayanagar kings patronized Telugu equally and this period is one of the golden periods of Telugus See how Kannadigas straddle both south india and middlewest india They are the true pan Indians
