NEVER stop just rambling. As you said, sometimes you get onto fantastic tangents. The banter is part of your charm. I really enjoyed seeing the little Dexter next to the Char cross cow, both just munching away. Hopefully the next podcast or video includes more updates from the animals on the farm. Again, your content is so enjoyable, both for a glimpse into your farm life as well as life in general. The soggy conditions you have experienced this past month, I am sure have been quite tedious. However, a podcast from my uninsulated small goat barn would be very short as our temperatures have been between -23 to -32 C the last week (this is more than 10 degrees below average). As hard as it is for some to imagine, the animals are outside with sheds to run into. Wind protection, good feed, manure pack and lots of bedding and they are fine. Looking forward to future episodes. Happy New Year.

Had to ‘pin’ your comment Mary. I both really appreciate the update and am absolutely fascinated by the conditions you’re working in too! Thanks so much for taking the time to put it together and share with everyone 👍🏼👍🏼 Maybe you can send me a photo to show mum!

We’re not ‘supermen’…my stomach tightens when I hear that said. We all have as much time as there is. I would love to just put on the brakes and take a moment but being disabled and getting older I feel the pressure to get things done before I’m relegated to a wheel chair. It’s like seeing the rocks fall off the cliff towards my head and being unable to move and yet I can’t stop climbing. I have to get as high as I can before it all crashes down. The sheep, the rabbitry, the chickens and bees. I can’t imagine not getting up in the morning and rushing out to get everything done. Well (raising a glass) happy new year and here’s to getting things done!

PEX Upinoor is one of the easiest professional plumbs. But personally the warmth and longevity and certainty of stainless steel schedule 80 pipe just feels more satisfying to me! Copper is a good second but PEX gets it done in a day for 100 years warrantee!

By the time I'm finished wrangling a cooked meal, I really don't want to eat it😒 so I know the feeling. We had a wonderful Xmas with the grandchildren. We make a gingerbread house instead of pudding or Xmas cake and the little ones love it

Sarah and Rufus, thank you for the videos. Enjoying them a lot. Always a pleasure to see that amongst all things that need to be done, there is a special continuaty on a farm. Dictated by the seasons. Repeating itself over and over again. It takes out some of the stress created by modern living. To you Rufus I hope the renovating of your house will be finished shortly and to your satisfaction. Happy new year to you both and your loved ones. Stay healthy and safe. Enjoy spending time with family and friends and have a prosperous 2022.

I would like to help out at a local farm. I have looked online and in local adds but I can't find any positions. should I just walk to each farm and ask if they want a hand? or is that a bad idea? maybe I could ask at my local farmers market?
