To me, a bumper isn't the best way to honor CN's history. Especially since Miller wants to focus more on the new material and offer extremely low focus on the old. To me, a great way to honor the network's anniversary would be this. Remember "Whizzo, the very first cartoon?" That elderly clown character that was in the one 90's commercial? In said commercial, he talked about how animation was more "simple" in his era. Whereas at that point; we had Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken and other shows with "bright coluhs, runnin' around," as Whizzo said. It was especially memorable due to the fact Jim Cummings voiced the character. Now, back on point; I imagine Whizzo walking through the studio. Talking about how much it grew over twenty-five years. Only to be suddenly stopped by the TTG Robin and the team. Then BB pops up and (rather obnoxiously so) exclaims "beat it, gramps; no one wants to talk about that boring stuff." Cyborg then comes in and says how viewers today want stuff that's "in your face, hip and 'edgy.'" Upon seeing animated versions of CN viewers glued to their TVs and tablets, watching reruns of TTG and PowerPuff Girls 2016, Whizzo sighs. Then, he begins to lament on how the network lost its way. How it was a network meant to honor ALL ages of viewers, kids and adults and just as he begins to lose hope. In come Finn, Jake, the Regular Show crew, Steven, the Gems, the Beach City citizens and allied Gems, Wirt, Greg and the Lakewood Plaza heroes. They come to him and tell Whizzo that there are still loyal fans of the network. Those who still watch what they once saw on the station so long ago. These characters then show him that these same fans are showing said shows to the new generation. While not all of them are busting a gut or becoming instantly enthralled. Whizzo sheds a tear of joy and gives thanks for those who love toons like him. Then, Garnet says "as time goes on, some things must change. But even though that may happen. It doesn't mean the old and the new can't coexist together." She then offers a hand to Whizzo. Which he accepts and takes it with a smile. Then, they head off to have some fry bits and bacon pancakes together. As they walk off and an iris in closes in, Whizzo sticks his head out and speaks. "Garnet's right, times are gonna change; for bettuh or worse. But old coots like me will still have a place on the network. So, be sure to keep us in your hearts. Cause even aftuh we're off the air. You still have your...thingamajigs to keep Cartoon Network's TRUE spirit alive. A spirit of creativity, diversity and good humor. So, kiddies; until next time...That's All..." (Before he says Porky Pig's iconic line. Cyborg and Beast Boy interrupt in the background by loudly singing "waffles." Whizzo growls and tells someone to shut them up. Sounds of fighting, cats yowling and grunting are heard) (The iris then moves over to show the two Titans. Beaten mercilessly and under the feet of Garnet, Amethyst and Skips. With that, the old and new Cartoon Network stars shout "That's All Folks" and the tribute ends)
