I never knew about Donkey Kong for Gameboy when I was younger. As an adult, I went to the local vintage game store to buy it and they had no clue what I was talking about. They were able to find it at another location and didn't even know what price to put on it. It seems alot of people still have no clue how good that game really is. Great video as always. Cheers

I feel that it's the BEST GB game ever! Seems unforgivable that a game store wouldn't know about it!

Gameboy is legendary! After my last divorce, I quit collecting and put games down for a bit, but when I started up again, I kept it simple and stuck to only gameboy/game gear! That eventually got old and I went back to full blown grab all, but I’m glad I had focused on ol GB because I have a ton of GB games & consoles! Someday I’ll start up these vids like you guys do, share all with YT

I received a GameBoy as a gift. And even though it was light years ahead of the blippy, single game handhelds from the late 70s, I only would get a few games for the GameBoy. So it is nice to go down memory lane and take a look at some very good games for the iconic system.

Not sure how it’s that though. It doesn’t tell the time and the games are akin more to black and white NES games. I guess you have some single screen arcade games on it and some game and watch remakes… but I never saw it as an evolution of that.

18:07 That's just what happens when the console is unable to boot a game: The Nintendo text appears garbled in various ways, there's no chime, and nothing else happens. It's expected behavior, and it's extremely likely that all that is needed is for you to clean the contact pins on your cartridge. If that doesn't do anything, first confirm that the console reliably boots other games. If not, it might be need cleaning of the connector in the cartridge slot.

@@GregsGameRoom the GBC is probably the easiest Game Boy to work on. With a short time spend on research (and the correct screw bit to open it with) you should have no problem at all restoring/refurbishing or even modding your Color, should you feel that's something you want to do.

35 years of Gameboy While not all of the titles are winners the system still revolutionized gaming by being a portable system that plays like the plug in consoles at the time Beforehand there was game and watch, tiger (which somehow survived throughout the 90s), and even Konami and coleeco made some portable games

Pokémon isn't that good. Red and blue are basically the same and yellow just has a few things different but the walkthrough it's pretty much the same as red and blue. I've played those games several times and I can tell they get boring after defeating the four elite. Complete the Pokedex isn't for everyone and it's frustrating when you don't have someone to trade Pokemons which is necessary in order to fullfil that task.

@4:50 press select
@MJFallout3 ай бұрын
It's even simpler actually: It's B that let's you see the whole course, the details of the green, and then the current location again. SELECT brings up the save menu instead (Golf saves quite a bit of different stuff, so it was advanced in that regard), while START shows you the score card for the entire 18 hole course (as if you had an actual paper card on you that you needed to fill out with a pencil after every hole). As one can tell, I have grown very fond of Golf. It can be a cruel mistress though that requires some serenity to properly play. Better still, the original save battery from late 1989 in my (Japanese) copy even still works. I will throw a party for it (not really) in December this year for its 35 year work anniversary.
