I write my own songs from a place of sadness and loneliness. Townes is a huge inspiration because of that. I love artists like Roger Miller who can show their humorous side while still being amazing writers. But something about people like Townes and Hank Sr always hits me a little differently.

A troubled genius, true... But a genius nevertheless. Townes was one of our greatest songwriters. 🎶🎵 For you youngsters that are unfamiliar with his music, check him out on KZbin. He can say more in one song 🎼 that most artists in their entire catalog. It's enough to say that he wrote Dead Flowers (recorded by the Stones) and Pancho & Leftie (recorded by Willie & Merle). An original artist. 👏👏👏
Happy super belated Heavenly Birthday. ❤🎉🎉 i just listened to his earlier work from Huston college. ❤🎉❤❤ 🎉 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉

@@PootTootPod Yes my friend. Those are some of the most beautiful of my life. We all lived in a wonderful 4-plex filled with music and fun. I was lucky to have the locals like ZZ TOP, Guy and Suzanne Clarke, Jerry Jeff Walker spent his 40th Bday at my place. Not to visit me, lol, but to visit Townes. Townes took me to meet his mother which was a prominent wealthy Texas family. We went out to the creek and shot at water moccasins the afternoon. We were wild and careless and carefree. 💕
