Just a doubt, do you replace your mouth on the hole or just slide the harmonica b/w it. I had problems in sliding it. And can you please make a video on Stargazing by Kygo (^_^)

You need to slide your mouth as it's far more efficient than coming off and on the harmonica. I drink lots of water when playing to keep my lips moist. Some people use lip salve but I hate the stuff!

I have a hohner golden melody C diatonic harmonica and my 6 blow sounds totally different from your 6 blow. How to find out if I am playing incorrectly(unable to isolate hole) or is it due to difference in model of harmonica? PS: Only second day of owning and trying out the instrument, so if I sound like an utter noob, it's because I am one.

Hi Neil, I would suggest working out how to move the song down from the tab in this video to the lower holes. You will need to bend notes though.

I've just started learning and I have two questions if anyone can help.....?? I get a better single note puckering than tongue blocking, but with tongue blocking I can feel where the holes are so its better for when I play a tune. Any advice with that? And secondly, I get really out of breath just playing a simple tune like this. What am I doing wrong with my breathing?? Any tips anyone??

Thanks for watching and for asking good questions. For breath control, check out my 2 minute tip on this topic: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mnasYpWjorV6mLM The important thing is to get single notes, so go pucker for now. Tongue blocking can always come later. There's no point playing a tune if you can't get single notes first, so take it slow and work on those clean, clear notes :) Hope this helps. Cheers, Liam

Hi, it can, yes. A chromatic harmonica contains all 12 notes of the chromatic scale, so you can play anything on it. But, crucially, the tab would be different, so if you use my tab on a chromatic, it won't sound right. Cheers, Liam

The draw notes can be more sensitive, so you have to be very careful with your mouthshape and make sure it isn't even a millimetre too wide, because it only takes a tiny little amount of air to make one of the adjacent holes play. Hope this helps! Cheers, Liam
