There seems to be something special about this specific video. The new Cockatiel of mine looked at me as if he had unraveled the mystery of the universe, now he likes me. Now it acts like a bird and not a mute statue of one. Your birds must be talking about something fun!

You have a great set up with nice colour mutations in your cockatiels. How do you find keeping the budgies and cockatiels together, I kept both years ago together in the same aviary and the budgies would become aggressive towards the cockatiels and tried to steal their nest box.

It's not my aviary. But the owner never had any problem. The cockatiels are only male so maybe that helps.

@@MrAviary I love Cockatiels. My little girl turned 11 years old yesterday. We are bonded companions for life. She's a chronic egg layer inspite of her Avian Veterinarian educating me about her problem. Never touch a Cockatiel anyplace but her head and neck area. They adore little scrintches. 💕 She use to get a monthly Lupron dose and this was a blessing and what I had hoped would be along with only touching her on the head and neck areas. I am from the United States. Shortly before pre-pandmic lockdowns occurred her Avian Veterinarian told me that Lupron wasn't available and I could have her come in once a month for a new implant. I didn't want to introduce additional stressors on her. She was in some pain for atleast 1-2 days after receiving her monthly Lupron shot that is injected directly into her ovaries. Please know that I love my little birdie and I had to do this to save her life. The implants are very expensive. The Coronavirus had already started to ravage parts of California and Washington state. Months passed before the former president of the United States and Governors finally started taking some steps towards saving lives. Back to my Cockatiel... maybe it was good that I decided not to get implants atleast for the time being, because I would have had no way of having the used implant removed. I commend the owner of the Aviary and you for not introducing female Cockatiel's into the flock. Cockatiels are one family of parrots that are besieged by chronic egg layering. These little hens bodies are depleted and they eventually suffer if they become eggbound and many die at the hands of misinformed parrot owners and breeders who are looking to make money by breeding birds. Thank-You for practicing safe parrot husbandry. ❤ Adopt Don't Shop. 💕🍎

@@MrAviary Great, I'm from Pennsylvania USA, the bird hobby is not as big here in the States, most people are into fish and aquarium. There's a small bird community here. I have been keeping, breeding Gouldians for 10 years, it's been a great journey. I love sharing ideas here with hobbyist like you. Great channel and videos, keep it up.
