I am a total beginner. In fact previous to 2 weeks ago I never would have dreamed I would be playing mandolin but I am and I love it. I am currently starting lesson 7 of the beginners course. Is it wrong to try harder things before I've finished the beginners course?

No doubt cheerful. Thanks, David. I like those hammer-ons. Some fiddle players use AEac# tuning on this one. I haven't seen alternate tunings on mandolins. Is that because they're more difficult to retune?
