I agree, Nikki Glasser slayed at the GG last night. It was everything I wanted in an opening... she poked fun at the celebrities without being nasty, she only hinted at what scandals or issues with the entertainment industry she was putting on blast trusting that her audience is smart enough to get the joke, which made the jokes funnier and I didn't feel preached at. And her mid awards show recap was hilarious... like the medal count at the Olympics... everything she did at the very least had me giggling. And her Howard Stern interview today was brilliant, she talked about how big of an opportunity the GG hosting gig is and how she'd hate to turn done an opportunity just because she was scared to bomb. How she confidently said if you work hard enough you won't bomb... there is chatter about how she was doing club shows all the way up to Sunday night tightening her act and making sure it played to a variety of audiences... thats just smart... and like she says, the way you make sure you make the most of this type of opportunity. And of course she told her jokes that didn't make the show, which she called her Howard Stern file... which made Howard Stern just giddy to know as they were writing jokes and thought some where just too risky for CBS or that type of audience they'd label them HF for the Howard file. He's such a lover of talented people so it makes the interviews he does with celebrities so much fun to listen to.
