I don't bother with a traditional new year's resolution for the same reasons that you noted, but I have been doing a new year's magic resolution. I resolve to put the work in on a routine that I've put off for one reason or another. Last year, I resolved to learn and perform Guy Hollingworth's Reformation. I spent about six months off and on learning and practicing, but I was able to get it to performance level. I haven't fully decided on one this year, but I'm thinking it may be Theseus by Nancy Colwell. I also plan to work on creating my own routines. And if I don't follow through on my magic resolution? It's just a card trick...there are plenty others out there...nothing to get down on myself about.

Michael, you should visit an aquascaping store or an aquarium and see some of yhe very beautiful planted tanks. I can only imagine how that would he able to trigger your thoughtfulness and breathing moments in the day. I have one decent size tank and just sit and watch the plants flow as well as the fish feeding or exploring. An aquascaper who is one that focuses on this is from the UK and names George Farmer.
