We took down our tree on New Years Day, a spider had decided to start weaving a web around my star 🌟 I've brought in my paper whites from the greenhouse that are starting to bloom for my kitchen table. We have 14 1/2 feet high ceilings/walls that even at 40 years old Bob and I were intimidated to paint. I did not want mauve or any other color that was not clear. I went to my closet and chose a pastel pink dress that I had color matched. The closest color in Sherwin Williams’ colors was cotton Candy pink. To get that color I had to buy more expensive paint by $600.00, so the color match saved money and Bob and I liked the pink. Half of our 4 bedroom house is pastel pink from that dress. The ceiling is Soar, a pastel teal/azure. We have lived here for 25 years. We were in debt from infertility treatment for 24 years. I was told that to make the color brighter adding white “colorant” would help. The hallway was low and would be darker. The people who painted bought 5 gallons too much of the pink paint…. We won’t be painting the whole house pink. Bob won’t paint the garage pink either! Habitat for Humanity here I come!

I enjoy your videos and have been watching since you started. I love the changes you have made to the front and back yards, love the changes in your kitchen and powder room. I like the mauve walls in the dining room also, but I do feel they clash with the red in the paintings. You are usually spot on with colors, so I’m kind of surprised. Anyway, Happy New Year to you and Tommy and your fur babies!
