I hope alls well with you and you have a lovely new years! Was on holiday in dunkeld past 7 days was meant be 6 till my partner got her car in a ditch, had walk a mile and a half in a blizzard then a mile back, basically frozen still till I saw the neighbours who were beside where we stayed come with a 4x4 and rescued us for then us to get stuck in a ditch in flash floods by Dalkeith/eassie.... had be rescued by fire fighters and sat in forfar mcdonalds for 8 hours with my daughter soaked, frozen, but back home now, and her car was returned yesterday and its still running! So, if there was any inspiration for new years, all I can say is my resolution is to be greatful for my life, and I hope the next year is good for you and your family. 🎉

My father in law was on a Canadian ship called the Algonquin and he sailed through the firth of forth and scarpa flow which he mentioned many times in his wartime diary. A very interesting bit of history. Happy New Year from Canada
