Katz deli has a sign up where the scene took place. The movie made Katz famous world wide and they still have many tourists visit.

The orgasm scene restaurant is famous, on the table there's a plaque now. One of my favorite movies ever! Great reaction. :) Fun fact: The older couples' stories are real stories, acted by actors... :)

You definitely should go to Katz's at some point. My wife and I spent a long weekend in NYC a couple of months ago and we went to Katz's. I was expecting it to be really just a tourist trap and not live up to the hype, but the pastrami reuben we had was honestly one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my entire life. Go with a friend and split the sandwich, it'll be enough for two. Also, they have a sign hanging over the table where that scene was filmed.

When Harry Met Sally was released when I was 11 and I watched my VHS TV recording of it on repeat throughout my teens - I think it really modelled the kind of friendships and romantic relationships I aspire to have. 💖 your reaction, EXCEPT...I was hanging to watch you react to the "Sheldon the wonderschlong" scene and to make a connection to BBT's Sheldon Cooper 😞 Re: Katz's Deli, I've been to NYC twice and can highly recommend their signature pastrami on rye 😋

Can you do Boogie Nights and The Black Stallion & Almost Famous? 😇 no one's done The Black Stallion before, its kid-friendly but i PROMISE you its not childish or simple, its an incredible film & i'm trying to get it into the reaction circuit but no one's watched it yet. I knew how this movie was going to go and I honestly wish it didn't. I know that friendships can be great foundations for a romantic relationship, especially in real life. But let's be honest, strong plutonic cross sex friendships are so rare in movies. Even rarer to be the focus. I was really enjoying this movie when Harry and Sally were just friends. The conversations Harry was having with his buddy where he never had a serious friendship with a girl before and how much he liked it and what he was learning. The buddy couldn't quite wrap his head around the fact that he didn't want to bang her and I like that. It not only plays with expectations but also is a commentary on how society views straight men and women. This really could've been something different and amazing of they kept that up. But of course, they don't. In the end they have to go the cliched romcom route of making them fall in love, have a misunderstanding, have a falling out, then realize they were soulmates all along. I can't be too mad cause again, it's exactly what I expected, but man that first half was just so refreshing and a missed opportunity.

My understanding is that the movie kind of came from the director working through his divorce and Harry and Sally were originally not going to get together in the end. But test audiences did not like it and also the director ended up falling in love again while working on the movie so the ending changed.
