That's what I always do with the tall storage on my rovers. Just a great way to see everything. Also, can't believe people are whining about the rtg's.... they're in the game for a reason, may as well use them.

I have a fix for the Centrifuge stoppage glitch, but I've only played Astroneer on Xbox, so bear with me... maybe it's not an option when playing on PC. When the Centrifuge locks up with resources stuck within, I jump up onto the side of the platform with the Centrifuge, turn to face the resources (WITHOUT using L-trigger to "target" them), and after some repositioning/turning, it should bring up the "pop-up box" for said resource, indicating that you're viewing it specifically. At this point, I press the Y button (again, no L-trigger to "target" and no R-trigger to "select") to send the resource directly into my backpack. Once this happens, one resource goes into the backpack, while the Centrifuge unlocks, and all remaining resources flip upside down and "pop up" in the middle for easy "targeting" and "selection." I hope I explained this well enough, and hope that it works for you on PC, Z1. Not the most ideal situation, but it's the only fix I've found.

@@jameslowe1702 if you mean the RTG you're wrong cuz they can provide a decent amount of power. It's extremly useful If you have bases in other planets with a bad energy production. Also you don't have to build huge power plants

so last night I went around glacio with the large storage silo and gathered like 50 research... hahahaha

I made 6 research centers and auto arms all connected to 1 platform with 2 medium silos completely full of astronium and the auto arms keep it going and the astronium is 1000 bites every 24mins. It's ez to do on the very first planet for those of you that don't feel like trying to get set up on a second one lol. Less work still alot of bytes I have almost everything unlocked.

For lights on a rover, I use medium silos. Put one on the front of your rover chain, and one on the back. then put 3 flood lights on the top row facing forward for the front one, and backward for the back one. If I have 3 rovers, I put 1 in the middle as well, with a single flood light facing each side of the rover chain. Works really well, if you're willing to give up some storage. Though, it's certainly more storage than using that tall storage that only fits lights.

The jet pack takes a fuel supply and two inventory slots (4 if you have extra fuel), whereas the RTG is the 2nd most powerful power item and has no input, and outputs power 100% of the time

Instead of transporting completed large rovers, transport the raw materials and craft the large rover on the planet you want to use it on. You can hold the mats to make 6 large rovers on one medium storage silo.

Go to Vesania. As you farm lithium make small batteries and put them on a silo. Fill up 4 to 6 med silo's and you wont need power for a long long time.

You could put a beacon on the back door of the rover tower, should you to exploring. Also I think you can put the chair in the front next to the drill and still drive. 😂 if you wanted to you could have a rover tail and hang a large storage off the back make that your power station. Wind/solar on top and batteries underneath

Plz put the RTG back on the rover without the RTG on the big rover u will have to keep recharging the rover with batteries and windmills and if u go too far with the rover with windmills and batteries it will get annoying fast to keep recharging!

I saw only one comment about it on the other video and it had only five likes. But then that may have just been someone joking about it being made. An RTG might be overpowered, (lol), but seeing all those batteries and med Wind Turbines to produce that much power for all that felt a little painful. Next time just leave the RTG at the core of a planet if you have too. That was a little painful to see one get blow up.

I use 5 just on Sylva. But they came a little early, I only needed medium generator 2-3 times before I made an RTG. They should add in several steps to get them. Research different parts, mine uranium, refine it into plutonium, make radioation suit to handle the process, mine lead to have as shell on the RTG 👍

You use tethers and that's a really scummy thing to do since you have an oxygen tank and the oxygen tank makes it easy enough for you to stay alive. /s
