Bagpipes are folk instruments. They are played all over the middle east, north africa and Europe. Excuse me, but bagpipes aren't exclusive to the British Island. I am Spanish, and the bagpipe player is a traditional figure for us, as well as a symbol, the same as the bagpipe itself.

bagpipes may have deep roots in history, it certainly doesn’t mean they’re not shrill, if you’re able to step back and listen to that sound objectively and hear how piercing that is. otherwise we’re just shouting into the wind here

Jazz Fest is going on in Montreal right now and last night, while wandering around, i walked past the smallest stage and this maniac was playing in it. Hands down the best show i saw this year at the Jazz Fest! This lady is an absolute treasure!
